Basketball Practice, Sunday Morning, Gym

Yes, more than two weeks passed between the game and the next practice session for the basketball team. No, Tyler doesn't want to explain why. He had handwavily sent out an email scheduling today's session and asking when people wanted to practice going forward; that should be enough.

He turned on a mix tape, mostly Rage Against the Machine and Linkin Park, loudly enough to make the floor around it shake from the bass, and started working on his free throws.

[OOC: Expect extreme SP from me from about 1:30 p.m. EST or so until much later. And please answer the survey if you haven't yet.]

Tyler plunks down on a mat and starts racing through sit-ups.

Conner looked over from a nearby mat, where he was doing some stretching and sit-ups of his own. "Tyler! Sleeping any better without the ghost?"

Tyler blinked. "Yeah," he said. "That's about all I did yesterday, sleep. I guess the radio said he was gone, huh?"

"There was a demon sending the ghosts out," Conner explained. "But he's taken care of now, so everybody should be okay."

He gave Tyler an appraising look. "Yeah, you definitely look more rested."

"I don't usually sleep much," Tyler half-explained, and drew a deep breath.

"Any idea why the demon picked me?"

"That I don't know," Conner admitted. "There was something about it feeding on negative emotions, so I guess it picked people it thought would feed it a lot of that? Although I'm not sure how it would have known that."

Tyler waved to Zack. "The ghost is gone," he said. "Sorry for the ... thing with the coffee."

"That's alight," Zack said. "And really, after Jello dragons, floating coffee seems almost normal."

Anders went through the shorter of his Pyramid warmup routines and then went through a quick series of line sprints on the court.

Looking rather tired with a bruise starting to form across one cheekbone and eye, Peter started stretching out.

Tyler rubbed his own eye in sympathy. "Looks like you had an interesting night," he said. "You okay to practice?"

Peter grinned ruefully and put his hand up to his face. "I just need to learn how to duck quicker, I think. I'm good to practice, just trying to keep myself from falling asleep."

"I get that," Tyler said. "Just take it easy. So I'm guessing you got that fighting the demon thing. I take it the good guys won and all that?"

"Fighting the demon, yes. Or the demon's tentacles rather," Peter said with a nod. "And the witches all said he was destroyed completely, so I'm taking their word for it."

"It goes well," Peter replied. "I forgot to duck yesterday and got myself a souvenir." He touched the bruise forming on his cheekbone. "But I really can't complain."
