There are drinks set out on a folding table near the unlit campfire, and a couple of baskets filled with apples, oranges, and bananas, because sometimes you have to balance out all the doughnuts/twinkies/s'mores, after all. There's also a cardboard box at each end of the table, as yet unopened. Xander is standing in front of the table handing out cups.

"You'll probably each want something to drink, because I'm gonna make you talk, and some of you might be the type to get dry throats when you do this kind of talking.

Last week we looked at one specific job someone might have on a team; this time, we'll go with a skill that can be useful for anybody when you're trying to support your fellow Scooby-types -- or your flashy superpowered leader, if you have one. I figure we'll probably switch back and forth between those two things each week for most of the workshop, and look at putting them together towards the end.

So what skill comes in really handy when you're trying to investigate a crime, stop the bad guys, rescue the princess or otherwise save the day for goodness, justice, puppies, and truth?

The ability to lie your ass off.

I know that sounds kind of contradicty, like 'jumbo shrimp' or 'bad pie,' and some of you guys may not be down with bending the truth until it squeaks, but the fact is that sometimes you' might have to, at least for a while. You may need to cover for your friend with the secret identity, or your entire group that just cut class to go slay ~~vampires~~ dragons, or yourself, if you're in the wrong place at the wrong time. And hey, maybe you'll get lucky enough not to need it -- but it's a skill you should have, just in case."

"Three. Because really... giant talking dog? That's blue?"

"Bzzt," Bridge says with a grin. "It's true. He's a Sirian."

Bridge's commanding officer wasn't in Fandom, so Nadia was less likely to believe that. "Three. The seven foot tall dog. That's the lie."

"Nuh-uh," Bridge says. "It's totally true. He's from the planet Sirius."

"Sirius. A dog. No, seriously, that one's the lie, right?"

"No..." Bridge says, looking at Nadia oddly.

"Well, I know three is true..." Z pondered. Bridge didn't seem like the interfering type, so, "Two?"

"Nope," Bridge says. "I totally meddled."

"I'm sure it was for a good cause. So you didn't go to the beach?"

"Oh, I did," Bridge grins, a little goofily. "We just went at night, not during the day."

"Three." said Draco. Cause even he couldn't imagine a blue dog in command.

"It's true, dude. He's from another planet."

"Um..." Number three seems least likely, but this is Fandom. "Um... Number two?"

"Nope," Bridge grins. "I really did meddle."

"Really? Um... number one, then?"

"Yep!" Bridge gives Lana a thumbs-up. "I went to the beach, true. But it was at night."

D carefully weighs and considers each option. "Three's out because, well, Fandom. One is possible but we live on an island with beaches. So I'm going to try two."

"Sorry," Bridge grins. "I totally butted my nose in to help a friend."

"Okay..." D bit her lip. "Er... three??"

"Nope," Bridge shakes his head.

"Number 1?" Cordelia asked with a shrug.

"Got it in one," Bridge says, giving Cordy a thumbs-up. "It was actually nighttime."

Cordelia smiled, not wanting to picture what could very well have been a romantic rendezvous with her ex-boyfriend.
