Arts & Crafts Workshop #5, Camp Dining Hall, 06.19.06, Afternoon

The Tick smiled as his students filed in. "Keen displays at the Art Fair! I was very happy to see the work you all presented. "

"Today we will be making CD dream catchers. A dream catcher is an object from certain Native American cultures that are said to filters a person's dreams. It allows only good dreams through, catching any bad dreams like the subconscious fiends they are!"

"As you can see, you each have an instruction sheet, a CD with small holes drilled into it, string, glue, a paintbrush to apply the glue, some colored sand, glitter, beads, and feathers. When you're done, you should have something that looks kind of like this

"For your scrapbooks this week, we'll be focusing on the memories of each other in this workshop. More specifically, we'll be generating more of those memories! Open your scrapbook to a blank page. That page will be for the other students here to work on. They can add text, pictures, whatever they think will help you remember them or this workshop. You don't have to add to everyone's, but you should add something to at least one person's book."

"And just as a reminder of the schedule we're on, we only have two more weeks together in this workshop. Our last session will be last minute scrapbooking and a review of the scrapbooks. So try to get your scrapbooks mostly set by the end of next week's session."

Sakurazaki flips open the scrapbook to one of the few empty pages. She'd been scrapbooking a lot, apparantly.

Bridge draws a cartoon-ish looking ferret, with the caption "must've made for an interesting first impression :)"

Jaye draws a stick figure of herself, waving. Not that her stick figure has fingers, but whatever.

Luna adds in a few pictures from their room. This one? Is of the inside of the closet. That one? Under one of the beds.

Kaylee draws a flower and compliments Sakurazaki's art work from the past few weeks.

Maia drew a little Setsuna figure, little wisps of smoke coming off her skin and a Sun with a 'no smoking' style circle going through it. A little R.I.P. underneath a little pile of what looked like fleas. skin cells with a little arrow pointing to the pile was out to the side.

Seras draws Sakurazaki a small submarine and colours it in yellow.

Bridge's scrapbook is open to show two blank pages, where anyone could come and add something.

Since Sakurazaki neither recognizes Bridge as a non-ferret or remembers his name as the name of the ferret, this open pages gets a random Sun Tzu quote: "When envoys are sent with compliments in their mouths, it is a sign that the enemy wishes for a truce."

Jaye randomly draws a little tyrannosaurus, for absolutely no reason other than the fact that pteranadons are harder. Of course, since it's not a stick figure, it's not that great.

Luna adds in a small picture of a ferret that she'd handwavily taken with her own camera. Just because you couldn't see the ferret right didn't mean he wouldn't show up later. Really, even ferrets have better things to do than hang about in pictures all day.

Kaylee draws a stick figure using a green marker. Then she mentions it's a shiny color.

Seras draws Bridge a walrus and an eggman. And, they are all together.

Maia draws a radio with little music notes around it and an alarm clock with a sleepy looking figure smacking it.

Hmm, another person she doesn't know. Jaye's random quote comes from the great Ieyasu Tokugawa: "Life is like unto a long journey with a heavy burden. Let thy step be slow and steady, that thou stumble not."

Maia drew a little ocean with a sunset on it and penned the words. "Emo Beach Girl" across the bottom of picture in the sand part.

Luna drew a pair of radish earrings on a page of pink paper and outlined them with glitter. There might have been more than glitter to it because if you tilted the book very far, it would appear that the earrings leaned that way. Of course, it might just be one's imagination playing tricks.

Kaylee draws a stick figure of herself listening to the radio since she likes Jaye's broadcasts.

Maia flipped open her scrapbook to a blank page. Well sort of blank, there were buttons and ribbons glued onto the page, but no words or anything like that.

Hamlet flips open his scrapbook to a random page. He debates about adding a doodle, but ultimately decides against it.
