The Tick smiled as his students filed in. "Keen displays at the Art Fair! I was very happy to see the work you all presented. "

"Today we will be making CD dream catchers. A dream catcher is an object from certain Native American cultures that are said to filters a person's dreams. It allows only good dreams through, catching any bad dreams like the subconscious fiends they are!"

"As you can see, you each have an instruction sheet, a CD with small holes drilled into it, string, glue, a paintbrush to apply the glue, some colored sand, glitter, beads, and feathers. When you're done, you should have something that looks kind of like this

"For your scrapbooks this week, we'll be focusing on the memories of each other in this workshop. More specifically, we'll be generating more of those memories! Open your scrapbook to a blank page. That page will be for the other students here to work on. They can add text, pictures, whatever they think will help you remember them or this workshop. You don't have to add to everyone's, but you should add something to at least one person's book."

"And just as a reminder of the schedule we're on, we only have two more weeks together in this workshop. Our last session will be last minute scrapbooking and a review of the scrapbooks. So try to get your scrapbooks mostly set by the end of next week's session."

What does your dream catcher look like?

I feel somewhat off my game today. Woe. I do have ideas for next week already, though, so I shall make up for it!

Dreamcatchers, huh? Sakurazaki couldn't help but feel like the timing (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhighdorms/663592.html) of this project was not just coincidental. True, she knew very little about Native American magics, but the way that Tick-sensei described it, it might be of some very good use if she could research and use it properly.

She sets to work quite dilligently; it was a more complex project, for her anyway, so it would require much of her concentration to do it well. By the time she finishes, the skin on her lips is peeling as much from her biting it as her nose is from the sunburn she got yesterday.

Sakurazaki flips open the scrapbook to one of the few empty pages. She'd been scrapbooking a lot, apparantly.

Sakurazaki's dream catcher isn't exactly good....but it's not really too bad, either. It definately does look like a lot of hard work had been put into it, so it comes off as a very sincere and serious dream catcher.

Bridge tries not to giggle when Professor Tick talks about the scrapbooking projects, and he... mostly manages. At least, while he's working on the Dreamcatcher, anyway. Though the glitter does kind of make him grin goofily.

Bridge's scrapbook is open to show two blank pages, where anyone could come and add something.

Bridge draws a cartoon-ish looking ferret, with the caption "must've made for an interesting first impression :)"

Since Sakurazaki neither recognizes Bridge as a non-ferret or remembers his name as the name of the ferret, this open pages gets a random Sun Tzu quote: "When envoys are sent with compliments in their mouths, it is a sign that the enemy wishes for a truce."

Jaye sits down and starts putting together her catcher of dreams. It may be the glitteriest thing ever.

Jaye opens up her scrapbook.

Jaye draws a stick figure of herself, waving. Not that her stick figure has fingers, but whatever.

Jaye randomly draws a little tyrannosaurus, for absolutely no reason ~~other than the fact that pteranadons are harder~~. Of course, since it's not a stick figure, it's not that great.

Hmm, another person she doesn't know. Jaye's random quote comes from the great Ieyasu Tokugawa: "Life is like unto a long journey with a heavy burden. Let thy step be slow and steady, that thou stumble not."

Jaye's dreamcatcher is kind of small, and not awesome, but she spent a lot of time on the glitter and thinks that about makes up for it.

Maia starts to work on her dream catcher. The glue got a little out of hand with the sand, but after a while, it all dries and looks like a highschooler made it.

Maia flipped open her scrapbook to a blank page. Well sort of blank, there were buttons and ribbons glued onto the page, but no words or anything like that.

Maia drew a little ocean with a sunset on it and penned the words. "Emo Beach Girl" across the bottom of picture in the sand part.

Maia dream catcher was set in various shades of blue and purple sand, globs of green glitter in various places around the drilled holes. All in all, it was a macabre of those three colors, like a rainbow on acid.

Luna selects her supplies and sets to work on her dream catcher.

After finishing her dream catcher, Luna tugs out her scrapbook and opens it to the empty part then goes to help work on the books of others.

Luna adds in a few pictures from their room. This one? Is of the inside of the closet. That one? Under one of the beds.
