Wilderness Survival - Week 3| Thursday Morning, A Clearing in the Woods
Callisto pointed to the lockbox. "Shoes."
Once she had everyone's shoes, she started walking out of the clearing. "Follow."
Then she took them on a little scenic walk.

With lots of lovely terrain, like mud, sand, rocks, dense undergrowth, a small pond or three.
And lets not forget the ever present pudding rain.
When they finally reached the end of the walking trail, she turned around to face the class.
"Dismissed."

Re: Walkabout (WS - Wk3)
Off to the side, though... A Centre Sweeper team came out of the trees, armed with rifles. Bel ran toward her, one arm reaching for her. "Parker! Tell them to stop! Tell them I'll do what they want--" He staggered, and she saw that there were already ten or twelve darts sticking out of his arms and legs. "I don't understand, I'll work for them, why are they..." Another dart. Bel fell at her
feet, face blank with drugs and shock.
Parker shook, looking away.
"Your father said that your notes on Belthazor were most helpful, Miss Parker. We never could have taken him without your assistance."
"No! Damnit," Parker whispered under her breath, and closed her eyes, putting her hands over her ears.
"We're just taking him back to be processed now. Carry on."
Sickened, Parker looked over at Sam, who blinked at her,
unimpressed.
She kept her eyes on her feet, hugging herself as she tried to keep up.

Sydney paced them on the other side of Janet. "Your friend would actually be an asset to Centre interests. Except she would never be allowed out of a lab," he said, voice sober. "The cloning technology which was used to re-create her would be of far more interest."
And it wasn't like she hadn't had that thought herself, but hearing it aloud was enough to make Parker have to stop and bend over, trying to get her breath back. And not gag. "God, my head."

"Do you want something for it?" she asked, looking concerned.
Re: Walkabout (WS - Wk3)
Sam watched Janet with detached interest. Parker really wished she could shoot him.

Kyle wandered through the far clearing. He waved to Parker, threw a rock at a squirrel, then walked out of sight.
"--but when I look nothing's there." Parker took the water and pills gratefully, and closed her eyes, pinching the bridge of her nose.

Parker sighed, and looked ahead. "I *wish* she didn't have to be on this tear today. You think I'd end up on the cheerleading squad with you if I told Callisto I was sick? I've already got Detention."

*handwavily*meet at the clinic later? Believe it or not, I've got a standard battery of tests for people having afterimages." Her grin was rueful.Re: Walkabout (WS - Wk3)
*handwavily*great." Parker snorted. "I sadly, do not find that difficult to believe." She looked down the path, and worked her jaw. "Thanks, Janet."Re: Walkabout (WS - Wk3)
