FH Library, Monday, 6/05

Tyler sauntered in a few minutes late, unlocked the library doors, and took a seat behind the library desk. He used the ancient library computer to read about suicide cults on Wikipedia while he waits for patrons. Vaguely, he wondered if he should reshelf things or something, but decided the actual work was for the actual library aides.

He took a brief break and closed the library after hearing the announcements, but other than that, the library was open all day for any bookish needs.

"You won't find a way to get rid of me in here," Xena said, running her fingers along the spines of the books. "So it's not worth even bothering to try."

"I'll be the judge of that," Callisto muttered, heading for the psychology section. "Not some hallucination."

Xena clucked her tounge and took hold of Callisto's ear and brutally twisted it. "How long will it take you to realise that I'm not just some hallucination?"

Callisto snarled underbreath and slapped at the hand, earning herself a backhand across the cheek. "I'm not listening to you."

Tyler blinked at the girl who was talking to herself.

He wondered if that was how he had looked. "Um, hello? Need any help?"

"Listen or don't listen, it's your choice," Xena said. "But it's not like I'm saying anything that you don't already know to be true."

Callisto glanced across at Tyler. "You have no idea," she deadpanned.

"I might," Tyler said, stepping cautiously out from behind the counter. "It looked like you're talking to someone, but I only see you. Is that it?"

Callisto eyed Tyler suspiciously. "Yes."



"Smart kid," Xena grinned. "I think he should go on the 'keep' list."

Tyler lowered his voice. "How long have they been there?"

"Just today."



"Yes, him we don't kill."

"Dr. Pevensie's pretty good," Tyler said. "If you want to talk to someone."

His lips quirked in half a smile. "Unless you just want to have him or her hanging around for a while and see what happens. But peiople get in trouble that way."

"I'll remember that," Callisto said. "Thanks."



Xena started laughing. "You seriously think talking's going to get rid of me?"

"It's nothing," Tyler said. He still looked worried.

"I'm Tyler, by the way. Let me know if you need a book or some of my antipsychotics or anything."

"I will," Callisto nodded.

Tyler was still concerned, but there wasn't much else he could do. He made a vague wave to the girl and retreated behind the desk.
