FH Library, Monday, 6/05

Tyler sauntered in a few minutes late, unlocked the library doors, and took a seat behind the library desk. He used the ancient library computer to read about suicide cults on Wikipedia while he waits for patrons. Vaguely, he wondered if he should reshelf things or something, but decided the actual work was for the actual library aides.

He took a brief break and closed the library after hearing the announcements, but other than that, the library was open all day for any bookish needs.

Wandering the dorms since he had nothing better to do with no classes that day, Bel noticed Tyler in the library. After his conversation with Willow the night before, he decided it couldn't hurt to head in and check Tyler out.

"Hey," he said in greeting as he entered the library.

"Hey yourself," Tyler said. "How goes it?"

"Bored," Bel said. "No workshops today. How's life treating you?"

"Work here is always a thrill ride," Tyler said. "But other than that, not too bad. Happy to be back in the dorms."

"I wish something fun would happen," Bel said idly. "It's been far too quiet lately. We could use a little excitement."

Tyler flashed a feral smile at Bel. "We could. Do you have something in mind?"

After getting busted by Washburn, Jamie headed over to the library to check out something Anakin had mentioned to him a couple of weeks ago. He gave Tyler a wave.

"What are you doing here man?" Jamie asked. "You don't seem like the library type."

"Hi, Jamie. Washburn has a weird sense of humor," Tyler shrugged. "It's my punishment for my little accident in the common room. Apparently they decided shutting me up with the books would make me be a good boy."

"Has it worked yet?" Jamie joked. "And since you're the book dude, can you point me in the direction of the class yearbooks?"

Tyler smirked. "I am a perfect choirboy," he said. "And yearbooks? I'm not sure."

He tapped at the computer for a minute. "We only have one year's worth. It's with the reference books, on that shelf." He pointed vaguely to the left. "Are you trying to find out who had unfortunate hair last year?"

"Not quite. I was talking with one of the older students who still swears up and down that gremlins and all the other weird stuff that we still haven't seen is real," Jamie replied. "He told me to check the yearbook for proof. Thought I'd check to see how far this rabbit hole goes."

Tyler nodded. "Have fun. I kind of figure it's all real. Everything else they tell us about has been."

"You won't find a way to get rid of me in here," Xena said, running her fingers along the spines of the books. "So it's not worth even bothering to try."

"I'll be the judge of that," Callisto muttered, heading for the psychology section. "Not some hallucination."

Xena clucked her tounge and took hold of Callisto's ear and brutally twisted it. "How long will it take you to realise that I'm not just some hallucination?"

Callisto snarled underbreath and slapped at the hand, earning herself a backhand across the cheek. "I'm not listening to you."

Tyler blinked at the girl who was talking to herself.

He wondered if that was how he had looked. "Um, hello? Need any help?"

Bel glanced over at the flailing and muttering Callisto, wondering what her deal was. Maybe she'd finally snapped.

"Take a picture, it'll last longer," Callisto said, glaring at Bel.



"Now, now, Callisto," Xena tutted. "No need to be rude."

"Sorry, you don't qualify as 'Joy' for the photography class," Bel said, "but I'll let you know if something more appropriate comes up. Like, you know, Crazy."

"Are you just going to stand there and listen to him? As I recall, you have killed people for less."

Xena slammed Callisto's face into the bookshelf. "Now, what did I say about being rude?"

Bel blinked as Callisto threw herself against the bookshelf. She had lost her mind. "You, uh, okay there?" he asked.

Hermione walks in as usual, gives a friendly smile to Tyler, the walks straight to the stacks to pick out an astronomy book and sits down to read.
