Luau, The Main Campfire, Friday evening

The main campfire had been turned into a tropical paradise... without the tropics. There were leis and grass skirts to wear, tropical music playing, a buffet table, and the infamous Limbo Stick of Destiny, an artifact brought back to America from World War II. Noody knows what happens when a person wins a limbo competition involving the Limbo Stick of Destiny, but several experts on the subject suggest that "absolutely nothing happens except maybe you win a little trophy."

It was party time at the Fandom High Summer Camp.

[OOC: OCD is up. Yes, there is pig, poi, and sometimes the band will switch from generic tropical music to 60's beach movie music, or maybe reggae, or Raffi. They're unpredictable like that.

"I think I can remember that," Marie said. "Did you have any workshops today?"

"Yep, Flight & Flying. I got my gnome air sick," he announced a bit proudly. "You?"

"Applied Dadaism. We played some really strange version of poker," Marie explained. "What was up the gnomes? I heard about them on radio last night."

"Sounds interesting," he frowned. "I don't know. One minute a gnome is hugging me and I can't shake him off at all, the next he's running off with half my lunch."

"That's kind of weird," Marie said. "Where'd he come from?"

"The woods, I'm guessing. I have no clue," he shook his head. "Somewhere where they have beer."

"I'm pretty sure they don't have beer in the woods," Marie pointed out.

Cameron raised an eyebrow. "Don't underestimate Fandom."

Marie laughed. "Okay, point," she said.

"So is there anything new and exciting going on with you?"

"New and exciting that isn't gnome related?" He considered it for a long moment. "Nope. I'm boring this week. You'll have to bring up the interesting topics."

"Okay," Marie said, thinking for a moment. "Nope, I don't think I have anything. I've had a pretty quiet week, too."

"But no drunk gnome," Cameron pointed out. "That's a step up from mine. Damn, I should have taken a picture of Barry." So maybe he was missing the gnome a tiny bit.

"No drunk gnomes for me," Marie said. "I had a cheerleading meeting and we picked the new members of the squad and our uniforms, but that's about it."

Remembering Molly's demonstration of the uniform, that did get his attention. "Did you guys pick the flippy skirts or the plain ones?"

"We're going with the outfit Molly was wearing," Marie said.

Cameron nodded and got a dreamy look. "Yeah, that one was nice. Flippy too."

"It's a little shorter than the uniforms we had back home," Marie admitted. "But I'll get used to it."

"It will be cooler?" he offered as it probably was the safest thought in his head right now.

Marie shrugged. "I guess. Are you guys getting uniforms?"

"I think so? I didn't ask, I just figured it'd be there. I should probably poke Tyler about that," he said. "I don't think it matters as much as cheerleader uniforms."

"Well, it would be nice if y'all had numbers so we could tell you apart easier," Marie pointed out.

"Hey," Cameron, who had an exact double on the team, protested. "I'm highly recognisable."

"Maybe we could get all your hair dyed different colors," Marie suggested. "That would be an easy way to differentiate between you."

Cameron narrowed his eyes at her. "I think I'm going to pass. I've had enough dyed hair to last me a lifetime, thank you very much."

"It was just a thought," Marie said innocently.
