Luau, The Main Campfire, Friday evening

The main campfire had been turned into a tropical paradise... without the tropics. There were leis and grass skirts to wear, tropical music playing, a buffet table, and the infamous Limbo Stick of Destiny, an artifact brought back to America from World War II. Noody knows what happens when a person wins a limbo competition involving the Limbo Stick of Destiny, but several experts on the subject suggest that "absolutely nothing happens except maybe you win a little trophy."

It was party time at the Fandom High Summer Camp.

[OOC: OCD is up. Yes, there is pig, poi, and sometimes the band will switch from generic tropical music to 60's beach movie music, or maybe reggae, or Raffi. They're unpredictable like that.

The luau takes place during a long break in the rain that

"Yes, I'm positive," Rory said, rolling her eyes. "Mine has inflated and curled all over the place as predicted, but yours looks fine."

Anakin looked relieved, then glanced at Rory's hair. "It seems okay to me," he said.

He listened to the music for the first time. "What is this, anyway?"

"A song," Rory said helpfully. "From the sixties. Probably older than my mom."

"It's kind of catchy," Anakin said. He gave Rory a goofy smile. "It needs some banthabell."

"Everything needs banthabell," she replied. "You need to get out and play it again for people."

"What, randomly?" Anakin made a face. "Maybe not. But if we ever come back to the cabins, maybe I'll play it around a campfire or something. That's where I learned, after all."

"Be random. I like randomness," Rory replied. "You're talented. And I'm sure we'll be back out here at some point."

Anakin blushed. "Thanks. But I'm not going to start a folk band or something."

"I think I'm okay with that," Rory told him. "You'd look weird with a beard and all good folksy people have beards."

Anakin had a sudden image of Obi-Wan beating on a tambourine and burst out laughing.

Rory grinned. "Share with the rest of the class?"

"Sorry," Anakin said, still ~~giggling~~ laughing. "I just imagined Obi-Wan beating on a tambourine and demanding money at a spaceport somewhere."

Rory was trying very hard to look dignified and failing.

"See, now I'm picturing him in a little gypsy skirt and a kerchief...."

Anakin was totally giggling, now. Can't call it anything else. "He's got the legs for it."

He grinned. "And yes, there's a story there. And no, I'm not telling it."

"Tease," Rory said, trying for a pout through her giggles.

"Let's just say Master Windu hasn't been the only Jedi to embarrass himself at a Republic Day party."

"...was there alcohol involved?"

"Something blue and smoking," Anakin said, nodding. "And a dare from Master Vos."

"It's really just a good idea to not drink anything smoking," Rory decided. "It never ends well."

"That's what I learned, too," Anakin said, nodding vehemently. "That and calling Obi-Wan a coward in a room full of beings he trained with is a guaranteed way to get him to do just about anything."

"Such tactics would never work on anyone else I know," Rory said, arching a brow at him.

Anakin blushed. "Well, I learn from watching."

"Oh sure, blame things on poor Obi-Wan," Rory said woefully.

"As many as possible," Anakin replied with a grin.

"That's very sad. And apparently the fact I fly like him is upsetting," Rory said, frowning. "Speaking of - that sim was awfully familiar."
