Luau, The Main Campfire, Friday evening

The main campfire had been turned into a tropical paradise... without the tropics. There were leis and grass skirts to wear, tropical music playing, a buffet table, and the infamous Limbo Stick of Destiny, an artifact brought back to America from World War II. Noody knows what happens when a person wins a limbo competition involving the Limbo Stick of Destiny, but several experts on the subject suggest that "absolutely nothing happens except maybe you win a little trophy."

It was party time at the Fandom High Summer Camp.

[OOC: OCD is up. Yes, there is pig, poi, and sometimes the band will switch from generic tropical music to 60's beach movie music, or maybe reggae, or Raffi. They're unpredictable like that.

The luau takes place during a long break in the rain that [livejournal.com profile] fh_weather is reporting. Yes, I'm modding the weather. Admin privilege.]

"That's what I learned, too," Anakin said, nodding vehemently. "That and calling Obi-Wan a coward in a room full of beings he trained with is a guaranteed way to get him to do just about anything."

"Such tactics would never work on anyone else I know," Rory said, arching a brow at him.

Anakin blushed. "Well, I learn from watching."

"Oh sure, blame things on poor Obi-Wan," Rory said woefully.

"As many as possible," Anakin replied with a grin.

"That's very sad. And apparently the fact I fly like him is upsetting," Rory said, frowning. "Speaking of - that sim was awfully familiar."

"Doing anything like Obi-Wan is pretty much the highest compliment I know how to give," Anakin said, then added, "except for the flying thing. Because he really does drive like a blind Hutt." He smiled down at Rory. "You're just learning. He does it on purpose."

His eyes twinkled. "And I have no idea why that sim would be familiar."

"I still don't know what the frell a hut has to do with anything," Rory complained.

Then she smirked. "Oh, so that wasn't just me. I was wondering if I was imagining the familiarity."

"A Hutt's a 500 kilo slug," Anakin said, his mouth twisting. "Not exactly known for the great dexterity or speed."

He shifted to the more agreeable topic. "I was wondering if you'd notice," he said, "but it wasn't like I was going to make an announcement about it or anything."

"Like I'd forget," Rory said quietly. "So yeah, I noticed, though it took me a little before I figured it out."

Anakin had a very pleased smile on his face now and he pulled Rory just a teeny bit closer.
