Library, 5/29

It's a Monday. And a holiday. Work? Bah.

Yet here Tyler is, sitting behind the desk at the Fandom High Library paging through Slaughterhouse-5 Killingfloor-6. The library is open for business.

[OOC: Open. No OCD threads 'cause it's summer, yo.]

"Thanks for helping me out with this, Molly." She leaned in a little. "So? Did you have the date? How did it go?"

[identity profile] bruiser-in-pink.livejournal.com 2006-05-30 12:31 am (UTC)(link)
Molly continued looking down at the book. "Yeah, we went out on Saturday afternoon. It was good, I guess. We talked the whole time so, that was... good."

[identity profile] lilpunkinbelly.livejournal.com 2006-05-30 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
"You guess? What happened?" Dawn couldn't imagine a date with Sam being good. She'd have been squeeing all over the place.

[identity profile] bruiser-in-pink.livejournal.com 2006-05-30 12:55 am (UTC)(link)
Molly gave a small shrug as she flipped through the book. "I like Sam. He's really nice and I like spending time with him." She shrugged again. "I just really don't think I should be dating yet."

[identity profile] lilpunkinbelly.livejournal.com 2006-05-30 12:56 am (UTC)(link)
"Still the Blair thing?" Dawn asked. "I could glare at him a lot for you, if you want."

[identity profile] bruiser-in-pink.livejournal.com 2006-05-30 01:00 am (UTC)(link)
Molly grinned. "I guess it's the Blair thing." Partly. "But, no, you don't have to glare at him or anything. It wasn't him, it was me that was the problem."

[identity profile] lilpunkinbelly.livejournal.com 2006-05-30 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
"Really? What happened?" Dawn leaned forward in her chair onto the books, giving up all pretense of research for the moment.

"With Blair?" Molly flipped more pages and shrugged again. "I just... I went out with him because he asked me. I liked him, but I wasn't... I don't know, I thought I'd feel different after a while." She shrugged again, still without looking at Dawn.

[identity profile] lilpunkinbelly.livejournal.com 2006-05-30 01:12 am (UTC)(link)
"Different how?" Dawn's experience with boys was extremely limited, so it was good to hear someone else's point of view.

[identity profile] bruiser-in-pink.livejournal.com 2006-05-30 01:19 am (UTC)(link)
Molly finally looked over at Dawn and blushed a little. "I thought I'd feel more like a girlfriend after a while. I never did though. I like Blair. But, we were girlfriend and boyfriend for about two months and I still only felt like friends."

[identity profile] lilpunkinbelly.livejournal.com 2006-05-30 01:22 am (UTC)(link)
Dawn was confused by that, but tried to cover. "I'm sorry. Sounds like he wasn't just the right person for you."

[identity profile] bruiser-in-pink.livejournal.com 2006-05-30 01:23 am (UTC)(link)
Molly looked back at her book. "Maybe I did something wrong," she said.

[identity profile] lilpunkinbelly.livejournal.com 2006-05-30 01:25 am (UTC)(link)
"Why would you think that?"

[identity profile] bruiser-in-pink.livejournal.com 2006-05-30 01:27 am (UTC)(link)
"Because Blair thought everything was going fine," she said with a sigh. "So, obviously it was something with me."

[identity profile] lilpunkinbelly.livejournal.com 2006-05-30 01:29 am (UTC)(link)
"So, what if it was something with you?" Dawn asked. "That doesn't mean you did something wrong. Maybe it just means Blair's oblivious. I mean, boy."

[identity profile] bruiser-in-pink.livejournal.com 2006-05-30 01:39 am (UTC)(link)
Molly shrugged again. "I still don't think I should be dating," she said.

[identity profile] lilpunkinbelly.livejournal.com 2006-05-30 01:42 am (UTC)(link)
"Okay," Dawn said, deciding not to push any more.

[identity profile] bruiser-in-pink.livejournal.com 2006-05-30 02:04 am (UTC)(link)
Molly went back to quietly looking through the books. A while later, she sighed again. "Anything yet? None of the gnomes I've found will work."

[identity profile] lilpunkinbelly.livejournal.com 2006-05-30 02:22 am (UTC)(link)
Dawn read an entry and grinned a bit evilly, before she slid the book over to Molly and Isabel. "Ladies, I think we have a winner."

[identity profile] bruiser-in-pink.livejournal.com 2006-05-30 02:24 am (UTC)(link)
Molly moved the book so both she and Isabel could read. She looked up at Dawn and grinned. "Oh, I think that sounds perfect."

[identity profile] lilpunkinbelly.livejournal.com 2006-05-30 02:28 am (UTC)(link)
When Isabel nodded her agreement, Dawn picked up the book and quietly hid it in the foreign languages section. "Then we're done here. Let's go be lazy."

[identity profile] bruiser-in-pink.livejournal.com 2006-05-30 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
Molly grinned. "Another plan I am in total agreement with." She stood up and looked at all the books. "Should we put these away or leave them for Tyler to go through?"

[identity profile] lilpunkinbelly.livejournal.com 2006-05-30 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
"Hmmm." On the one hand, she didn't mind making Tyler do more work. On the other, she didn't want him to know what they were up to. "Put them back, I think?"

[identity profile] bruiser-in-pink.livejournal.com 2006-05-30 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
"Okay." Molly picked up a stack of books and went to put them all away.

[identity profile] lilpunkinbelly.livejournal.com 2006-05-30 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
Dawn and Isabel took the remaining books and reshelved them. "Okay," Dawn sighed in relief. "Our work here is done."
