Chloe greeted each of the students as they ~~followed the handwavied instructions and~~ came into the Journalism classroom. Anyone who had been in here during the last semester might notice that all traces of Rita had been removed; the room had definitely become Chloe's domain.

"Good morning," she said brightly, distributing a syllabus to everyone. "Welcome to the writing workshop. For anyone I haven't met extensively yet, I'm Chloe Sullivan. Please, please call me Chloe, because any of that 'Ms. Sullivan' stuff is just going to remind me that I'm old and I have to leave this place at the end of the summer."

She gave everyone a smile and turned around to address them fully. "So, the basic idea of this workshop is to give you all a chance to experiment with different writing styles that are out there. We're going to start with non-fictional styles, and then move into some of the more entertaining fictional forms. I will warn you, I'm probably going to be doing some heavy pimping of the school newspaper, because it's kind of my baby, and it needs good people to take care of it next year. Those of you who were ~~my minions~~ part of the staff should know what I can get like." Chloe smirked.

"I figured the best way to start would be to talk about writing biographies," Chloe said, outlining a few of the characteristics of this style on the board. "This is also my sneaky way of making you all talk to each other on the first day. I've assigned each of you into a pair, and what I want you to do is get together with your partner, talk a little bit about yourselves, and then give me a minimum of 50 words on what you learned."

Kawalsky signed in.

After receiving Veronica's email, Cameron had double checked his workshops and sure enough something must have gone wrong. Signing up for journalism? So not his thing. He did however show up early for class in the hopes of talking himself out of it, because that had worked so well for him yesterday.

"Yo, Curvy!" Because that really was the way to suck up to someone.

Chloe snickered at the nickname. Oh, it was a good thing Cam was cute and bigger than her. "Hey there. If you're trying to impress me on the first day by being early, it's almost working," she said.

"I'm always on time," Cameron said quickly and shook his head. "But uh... Are you sure I'm in this workshop?"

Marie signed in.

Marie is sitting at a desk, doodling on her notebook.

"Sooo...here's the thing," Kawalsky said. "I meant to sign up for Wilderness Survival, but signed my name on the wrong sheet. But I figure hey, had to happen for a reason, so I'm gonna stick around. That okay by you?"

Kawalsky shifted his chair over to Rory ~~who I am modding omg, because she's Rory and she always shows up~~.

"Yeah. I have your name on my roster. It's official from the school and everything," Chloe said solemnly.

Cameron scratched the back of his neck. "That's weird because I'm pretty sure I didn't sign up for this or photography and somehow I got into the workshops."

After not managing to get out of the course, Cameron grabbed a chair and sat down beside Marie. "Yo, I see you've survived Fandom so far."

Chloe grinned, and nodded. "That's totally okay. I'm glad you've decided to stay."

"Yes, I have. And I found out that all the stuff you told me the first day was true, so I probably owe you an apology for thinking you were crazy," Marie said with a smile. "How've you been?"

"Well, either you pissed off somebody in the office, and they decided to mess with your registrations, or you were drawn to Veronica and I like some sort of mystical force." Chloe laughed. "I want to lean towards the second one."

"Don't worry about it," Cameron waved it off. "I've been good. Went to visit my folks for a couple of days and now I'm back to follow all the wrong workshops."

"Ah, so that's why I haven't seen you around lately," Marie said. "Did you have a nice visit? And what do you mean by wrong workshops?"

"What? You don't like it when people are drawn to you?" he teased because he kinda had to.

"That and the dorms have been crazy with so many newbies, I've gone into hiding," he grinned. "But it was good. And I'm not sure what's up with the workshops, I never signed up for this or photography and yet I somehow ended up in them. I think it might be a conspiracy."

~~Never underestimate the power of the snarky blondes.~~ "That's odd. Are they your only two workshops?" Marie asked.

"I do like it, actually." Chloe smiled. "You know, I'm not making this a difficult workshop, and you're more than welcome to stay."
