Fandom Library, Wednesday, September 11th
The library was up to nothing??? weird today??? Arden kept expecting something, but apparently it just...wasn't? No gremlins, no creepy whispers, no books doing anything other than...sitting there, unmoving, the way books were supposed to.
She didn't trust this even a little bit, but it didn't matter how often she tried to surprise check up anything, it just stayed...normal.
This was weird and she didn't like it. She had her eye on you, library.

Re: Talk to the Aide
"A sexclub?" she yelped, apparently now making sure the whole school could hear him, too.

Re: Talk to the Aide
"...Okay, so like. I know what a sex club is? Sorta? But I don't know how they...you know. Work. So what do--what will--? How do you know...?"
HELP HER OUT HERE GRAY.

Re: Talk to the Aide
Very maturely said, Arden.
And then, because she'd been raised by Callista, she couldn't help but add, "And probably to make deals and do business they don't want anyone to know about, because discretion is expected and maybe even a little guaranteed. If you really wanted to be careful, you go back with one person, someone else goes back with another, the two of you meet up, then return with your prospective partners later."
Still very shocked, but there were some parts she couldn't help but put together.

...Which normally wouldn't mean much but her acquaintance included Duke and Grimm, too.
"I guess it would have depended on if I'd ever even found out about the, uh, back rooms," Arden said. Considering she wasn't sure how many people she'd even end up talking to, she was pretty doubtful that she even would have. "But I'm glad to know!" Especially finding out here and now and not walking into the club or something, when there would be other people and...
Ooof.
"Okay, so um, sex happens in the back rooms. What about other things? Like, do vampires feed back there, or is it no big deal if they snack on the floor? Drugs?" Had she already asked about drugs? She didn't remember. Look, she was doing her best here. "It sounds like everybody's pretty much gonna be cool about stuff, and just like, back off if the answer is no, I just wanna know what to expect so I don't gasp and clutch my pearls over shit that's just another night at Krave."
Acting like you didn't belong was the fastest way to get targeted. And Arden didn't believe that everyone that visited the
sexnightclub was firmly on the good person side of the scale.Re: Talk to the Aide
Re: Talk to the Aide
"So long as they're not serving anything out of bronze cups, or anything with chicken in it or whatever, I should be okay," she said.
Re: Talk to the Aide
He'd spoken it into existence, hadn't he? Chicken and malort, coming to a bar near you.
"I think you should be fine. And if you're not having fun we can go home and watch movies instead."
Re: Talk to the Aide
"I'm gonna be fine," Arden said firmly. "I'm gonna be fine and have fun and watch you hit on guys and laugh and you can watch me flirt and also laugh. We're gonna have a great time."
Re: Talk to the Aide
"That's the spirit!" Gray cheered her on. "And you'll get to be around a bunch of nonhumans!" Even if she was still pretending to be human. Baby steps, he figured.
Re: Talk to the Aide
"Apparently the first step in becoming less afraid of supernatural folks--" or, at least, as being clocked as one "--is to go out dancing--" at a sex club "--with them," Arden said. "Makes sense to me."
