Welcome Party for the Summer Students and Staff

Despite the slightly overcast sky, the weather is still good for welcoming all of the new arrivals for the Fandom High summer session. The graduation decorations (and gremlin debris) have been cleared from the front lawn, and replaced with tables of information packets, food, and drinks. A series of signs point the students to the information table first, where they can pick up their room assignments from the office drones, and then continue on to the food tables to mingle.

And no, there are no inflatable gremlins around today. It's far too early to start scaring the new folks. That's what the mingling section is for!

[OOC: All right folks, have at it!]

Willow's bag contained holy water, stakes, and all kinds of magical books and ingredients.

Surely Principal Washburn couldn't mean any of that, right? How on earth would she even know about it?

Of course this didn't keep Willow from having a guilty look on her face as she tried to sidle by.

"Young lady?" Fraser says while the Principal is addressing others. "Do you have weapons of any kind that need stowing?"

Willow "Eeped."

"Me? Weapons?" She laughed. "Oh no." She patted her bag, hoping the bottles of holy water didn't rattle too loudly. Or the crystal balls for that matter. "Just books. Safe, perfectly harmless books that might be owned by any sixteen year old girl."

Fraser glances at the bag. "Do you have a china set in that bag?"

"Paperweights," Willow blurted. "I collect them."

"Interesting item to collect," Fraser says, still glancing at the bag. "Do you have a favorite?"

"Thessulans?" Willow said, even though she didn't actually have one of those orbs in her bag. Still, she figured the mountie (Mountie?) wouldn't know that.

Fraser nods. "I won't hear of you throwing paperweights at your fellow students, will I?"

"Oh no," Willow promised, clutching her bag as closely as she could while she still held a portable rat cage in her other hand. "Paperweights are not for throwing."

"Very well then." Fraser smiles at Willow. "Welcome to Fandom High and enjoy your paperweights."

"Thank you very much, sir!" Willow said. She gave him as best a wave as she could, and then scurried past before he could change his mind.
