Cultivation and Gardening: Finals back, 6th period (last class, zomg)
There might have been a tear in Zhaan's eyes as she gazed at her students. She seemed rested, however, and possibly full of basking in the sun good tea. The bunny slippers even seem chirpier. "I hope you enjoy the summer off, class."
Without saying more, she hands back everyone's finals, including their grades.
Walter: A+
1. Name two of the differences between plant and animal cells.
Plant cells contain chlorophyll and they have cell walls that make them appear rectangular.
Correct.
2. Do plants need sunlight?
Yes.
Correct.
3. True or False: All plants are docile.
There's a doodle of Vyvyan and a big FALSE
*chuckles* Very correct. You should see me with a pulse rifle on my bad days.
4. True or False: Humans require plants to maintain their basic mental balance.
True
I sometimes wonder why humans destroy something they require. Then I remember that even plants will destroy their own habitat, given time.
5. How would you rid your garden of weeds?
Weeding in the short term, careful planting in the long term.
Very good answer.
Short Essay 1: Detail a little of what you've learned in this class.
I have learned the basics of preparing ground for plants, planting them, and caring for them after they are planted. I have learned that not all plants will just sit there and take it while people walk all over them, too.
Uprisings tend to take a bit longer, but we live longer, too.
Short Essay 2: Describe what you'd do to gain a plant's trust.
Don't be hostile or disrespectful. Be respectful of its territory and its needs. Anticipate its needs and provide for them. Basically, just do what I'd do for a human, with a plant in mind.
You have a beautiful way with words.
Pippi: A+
One and two are correct.I don't know if lj ate your answers or not, but handwaving is my bag, baby.
3. True or False: All plants are docile.
False
It would be hard for all plants to be docile. My mother was renowned for her--in human terms, I suppose it would be kickboxing.
4. True or False: Humans require plants to maintain their basic mental balance.
True.
Given what I've heard of John Crichton after I left, this is doubly true. Correct.
Long sea voyages go better when there is a lime tree or two aboard.
Aside from the nutritional value gained, there is something peaceful about a treee when one is far away from nothing.
5. How would you rid your garden of weeds?
Uproot the plants I do not want growing in a certain area.
Correct.
Short Essay 1: Detail a little of what you've learned in this class.
Pippi goes on a bit about the scientific stuff they learned before Zhaan took over. She also discusses how plants need as much attention as a person.
*makes note to study more human science*
Short Essay 2: Describe what you'd do to gain a plant's trust.
Pippi writes the story of an epic quest.
*gets rather absorbed* Good.
Macbeth: A+
1. Name two of the differences between plant and animal cells.
Plant cells seem to be smaller and more cylindrical than animal cells, which are often located in dungeons and the like, and have fewer exits. My plant seems to be quite comfortable in its cell. I, on the other hand, prefer to avoid being jailed inside one.
*laughs with delight* Very good, you've missed the unliteral point, but I must applaud your effort nonetheless.
2. Do plants need sunlight?
As do we all.
Indeed.
3. True or False: All plants are docile.
Speaking from experience, false.
Even the most docile can become the most vicious.
4. True or False: Humans require plants to maintain their basic mental balance.
... True.
*amused* Have you had difficulties with mental imbalance when no plants have been present?
5. How would you rid your garden of weeds?
Underhandedly, preferably not while their relatives are paying any attention, and more preferably while they sleep.
Possibly not the nicest plan, but it could work.
Short Essay 1: Detail a little of what you've learned in this class.
I have learned that some plants grow remarkably large, others, not so big. Also, I have a more healthy respect of trees now than ever before, as I understand more about the capabilities that they possess.
Very good. I suspect the trees will have more respect for you, as well.
Short Essay 2: Describe what you'd do to gain a plant's trust.
I have found that letting the plant sit wherever it wishes to in my room and playing some good, sturdy bagpipe music works well.Sharing my secret plans for world takeover talking to it works nicely, also.
*adds bagpipe music to download list* Talking is indeed one way to gain trust.

1. The water reservoirs in plant cells are larger, and shaped retangularly. The cell nucleus isn't at the center of the cell, in plant cells, it's usually the water that's there. Er. That's only one still. Um. The green thingies are in plant cells, but not in animal.
Correct.
2. Most of them do.
Only most of them?
3. Er... False.
I could demonstrate how false a premise that is, if you'd like.
4. I suppose they do.
Witness the Cylons. If they'd just had a few plants, the Cylon/Colonial war would never have occured.
5.Nuclear bombs, just like we used on the humans Weed killer, or maybe find out about predator species.
*narrows her eyes* How cruel.
SE1: That plants are moody, and strange. That life is odd. That you need to talk to your plants, and make sure they get sunlight, and also try not to drown them in water.
Fairly accurate.
SE2: I wouldn't blow it up.
I should hope not. Points off for brevity. And no, I will not bite you.
[ooc: later than planned for there was CAPTAIN JACK on my tv. *runs away*]
