Driver's Ed, May 5th, Period 1

The Danger Shop is set up to look like the parking lot outside a certain museum. Complete with T-Rex statue. As Tommy stares up at it, he rolls his eyes. He should have gotten someone from the school to help program these scenarios instead of writing Hayley. She had a weird sense of humour.

"Okay class, today's your final." He waves to the Jeep (of course it's the Jeep) parked outside the museum. He hands each of them a list of tasks (shoulder checks, paralell parking, staying at the speed limit). "You'll note that each thing on your list is worth a certain number of points. For each task you don't do correctly, those points will be removed from a score of 100."

[ooc: please mod yourselves completing the first, oh, few minutes of the test. there's something planned to happen after that.

zomg, tired now, going to bed. will pick up threads t'morrow afternoon after i get home from work.]

Marty decides it would be fun to cut off Aeryn and then slow waaaaaay down in front of her.

Aeryn remembers that it's a bad idea to rear end someone on purpose.

However, weapons would be terrific.

So she turns on her signal, completely forgets to check her mirrors because she still doesn't quite understand why the car doesn't check your blind spot for you, and speeds up to move in front of him.

And... that's when the T-Rex starts moving.

Towards the cars.

This would be Aeryn having no idea what that is, but turning her car around now, thanks.

Oh, and away from Marty so she doesn't hit him. Because she's a safe speeder.

The T-Rex turns to chase Aeryn.

At that speed, Aeryn could probably still outrun it. But then there's the problem of still having a big thing with teeth there.

So she turns on her signal to change lanes, and then speeds up towards a building.

Yeah, if the holographic T-Rex were capable of things like... thinking ahead, maybe, it might be able to figure out that this probably isn't going to end well.

As it is, it just heads in the direction of the building.

Wow, this thing is dumb. And hey! She can see it in the mirror.

So Aeryn really hopes this vehicle has good turnaround and keeps driving until she's about to reach the sidewalk. Then she uses the signal again and turns sharply to the left. She might hit a curb, but who doesn't every now and then?

The T-Rex? Still going for the building. And building up speed. Unfortunately, it doesn't notice Aeryn turning in time to follow her, and so ends up crashing in to the building.

It falls to the ground in a shower of sparks.

Poor, stupid holographic robot dinosaur.

Aeryn slows down her driving, and finishes the course.

And the parallel parking takes a painstaking ten minutes because she's getting it perfect, dammit.

Marty looks up and shouts something a good driver wouldn't normally say.

Well... maybe if they saw a dinosaur.

"Rarrrr!" the T-Rex says in response. Well, not really, since it doesn't actually speak English. But whatever...

Marty puts the car in reverse and starts going back full speed from the dinosaur.

He also honks his horn at the dinosaur. Maybe that will distract him.

"Rarr?" The T-Rex makes an inquisitive noise.

Marty stops the car and the inquisitive tone of the dino.

Hmmm...

He starts honking the horn in a pattern that sounds like "Shave and a haircut..."

If the T-Rex's teeny little arms could reach that high, it'd be scratching its head in confusion right now.

Hmmmm....

Marty tries to do "Moonlight Sonata" on the horn.

The T-Rex gives up on trying to figure out WTF Marty's doing and goes back to chasing him.

Marty puts the car into gear and takes off like a shot. "Frrrrraaaaaak me!"

When he sees an alley he quickly turns into it.

Too bad it's a dead end.

"Frak!"
