Library, 4/26

Zero opened up the library as usual and began studying. Study, study, study.

Angela is around. Her hands lmight be a tiny bit covered in glitter.

[OOC: SP for the day, sorry.]

"I am!" Angela said.

She wiped her hands on her jeans, glittering them even more. "I'm doing a project on fractals with Walter for math. We think the glitter might mean a better grade."

"And even if it isn't, it's glitter, so that's, like, good by definition," Angela said.

Xander should by rights be in Magical Theory right about now, but having been given the hour as a free library period, he thought...maybejustmaaaaybe he should actually visit the library and use that pass to Special Collections. This time without getting lost. Also there was something he'd sort of neglected to do for... awhile...

He approached the reference desk and waved. "Hey."

Xander coughed and looked a bit sheepish. A distinct aura of mutton, yes. "I've got a pas to Special Collections and the desire to never, ever stray off the beaten path in there again," he said, laying the pass on the counter. "Aaaaand... probably I should applyforalibrarycardwhileI'matitsinceIneverdid..."

Xander filled the application out quickly, blinking over a few of the questions -- No, I've...never done that with a book, and really never thought anybody would want to... -- and left it on the desk to follow Zero.

"Dude. Ette. You do not need to tell me twice." Xander slid the gloves on and peered nervously at the doorway, just in case there were dragons or... huh, now where did that quick mental flash of a bear in a hat come from? "Not taking a step off the straight and narrow in there, trust me."

...

......Forty-five minutes later, Xander emerged from that same doorway, a notebook in hand and a rather stunned look on his face. Not 'I ended up two libraries away with somebody throwing office supplies at me' stunned. Just the information overload kind.

"Well oh...kay, then," he said, blinking and looking back over his shoulder.

He didn't actually take the gloves off until he was back up at the counter and ready to hand them over. Just in case.

"Thanks." Xander pocketed the card and glanced back towards the door to Special Collections. "This library has a strange sense of humor. Which is to say yes, I think so."

Xander tilted his head. "Are you not gonna be a library aide next year? That'll be...okay, that would be weird if I were gonna be here to be weirded out by it."

"Is it even up to him?" Xander looked around the library nervously. "This place kinda has a mind of its own."

"Point." Xander nodded. "Just if it comes down to a fight between the librarian and the library? I'm kinda glad I'm not gonna be here to watch it."
