Summer Shenanigans, Wednesday, June 21, 2023

Why did the entire island smell a bit like chocolate pudding? It was probably nothing, right?

"Welcome to our team-building exercise today!" Anakin yelled through his megaphone. "It's based on a series of obstacle courses called a Tough Mudder, but mud is too easy! Since everyone enjoyed this so much last year--" debatable, "--we are doing it again!"

...that would explain the pudding smell.

"Working in teams of four, you will race around the island, conquering each obstacle! McGarrett, stop looking so excited about this. Listen for your names! NO POWERS."

Stark was eyeing Rosa nervously. Very nervously.

And Rosa was eyeing Stark like the awesome shirt so wasn't even going to come close to making up for this.

"I swear to god," she said, as she walked up to Stark and got ready to get on his back, "if you even think of dropping me..."

"I won't drop you," Stark said quickly.

And he wouldn't. He was absolutely going to stumble and regret some life choices but he would not drop her. He knew better than to risk his life like that.

"Good," said Rosa, who didn't look very convinced, but she was hopping up onto Stark's back anyway, holding on tight and trying to make herself actually as light and easy to carry as possible, because there were bigger things at stake here than just making Stark's life miserable.

"Just beat Blackstone," she instructed, while sending a glare toward wherever the blacksmith was at that particular moment. "That's all that really matters."
