The danger shop classroom was very kitchen specific that morning, so there a pretty good chance you could figure out what they were covering in class this week.

"Cooking!"

"Well," Summer amended, "some very basic things and kitchen safety. So those of you who are more familiar with working in a kitchen, some of this might seem pretty simple, but it could be useful for those of you who aren't. We have to bear with a lot of different skill levels in this class, so there might be a few breezy classes for a couple of you. But today we're going to focus on a pretty easy staple that you can make whether you're on a budget or have otherwise limited resources, and that's boiling water and making pasta. In addition to that, we're going to go over basic kitchen safety tips, everything from proper knife use and maintenance, to food that may or may not be expired, to what to do in the case of a kitchen fire. Let's actually start with those things, and then we'll move onto the actual cooking."

Or, well, boiling water and putting noodles into it, but that....technically counts! Everyone has to start somewhere!

There are plenty of basic kitchen safety tips to go over, with a bit of extra emphasis on food safety, knife handling, and various kinds of kitchen fires.

The danger shop aspect of this one will definitely be useful for at least two of those, probably!

Was Vi watching Summer in case she suddenly whipped out some unholy abomination against food? Yes, and she wasn't exactly hiding that.

Once the kitchen safety lecture is over, it's time to move on to learning how to cook pasta! It's not really all that complicated, so the instructions from Summer don't take up much time, and then you're on your own to do it yourself. There's plenty of different pastas available if you wanted to mix it up and try something like a farfalle over a spaghetti, and if you're feeling really ambitious, there are sauces and other ingredients available to add to it, too!

And also various container of Cup Noodle, if you want to get started on the whole collegiate application of this particular lesson.

Also because Summer sort of wonders if having them there and around boiling water would somehow manage to summon a Wild Gladio.

A cooking class was right up Kurt's alley and he was already enjoying himself as he quickly decided on what pasta to make.

He had made his own pasta by hand before from scratch, but he didn't want to seem to be showing off so he went with a dried spaetzle he managed to find among the kinds of pasta offered.

There was still the temptation to do something fancy for the sauce but Kurt opted to keep it simple with a basic garlic sauce.

Jo had never actually cooked pasta before so it took her a bit to follow the instructions and out how to set everything up but she eventually started to cook a spaghetti.

Belle could boil water in a kettle to make tea. Belle could also surely boil water in a pot to make pasta.

She picked out some spiral pasta because she liked the way it looked and waited, mostly patiently, for the water to boil so she could add it.

She was intrigued by the Cup Noodle(TM) though.

Was anyone wondering if a student in this class was going to manage to burn water? Because Beta got a little too focused on contemplating the thermodynamics at play here, and trying to figure out a way to do this more efficiently, and in her distraction came really close to managing that, if so.

Who may or may not be at the start of a potential theme for the week....
