Driver's Ed, April 21st, Periods 1-2

There are several giant robots.

"If everyone could find the Zord that matches the schematics I assigned you last week, I'd like you to get in the cockpit and start experimenting with the controls. Remember- nothing you do will cause any lasting damage, as this is just a simulation, so don't worry."

Hamlet just stares in bewilderment at the giant Armadillo.

"How do you enter these giant robots? How do you operate them? How do the physics of these even work? What sort of energy supply do they run on? Wouldn't robots of this size cause massive damage to the city simply by walking around?"

Hamlet rolls his eyes at the sheer insanity of it all, but jumps anyway--

--and is very surprised to suddenly find himself inside the cockpit of the ArmadilloZord, with no obvious entrances or exits to be seen. Huh. Kids' shows aren't big on the logic.

He pushes a couple of random buttons, which do nothing but start playing Elton John music (http://www.eltonography.com/songs/hey_armadillo.html) over the intercom.

"Um, where was that joystick you mentioned?"

He looks around the control room, ignoring the music, and finally spots the joystick. A little nudge, and the armadillo lumbers forward just a bit.

"I think I found it?"

He pushes the joystick a little farther, and the Armadillo curls up into a ball and begins rolling around. It's really rather nauseating for the driver of the zord.

"Dr Tommy? Is it suppose to do this?"

Hamlet pulls back on the joystick, but hits the wrong button which, predictably enough, fires the zord's lasers. Lasers which may or may not give you leprosy! The shock from this causes him to push forward on the joystick, which leads to a spinning, leprosy laser shooting armadillo to roll about the room.

Hamlet might need to vomit when this class is through.
