Why did the entire island smell a bit like chocolate pudding? It was probably nothing, right?

"Welcome to our final team-building exercise today!" Anakin yelled through his megaphone. "It's based on a series of obstacle courses called a Tough Mudder, but mud is too easy!"

...that would explain the pudding smell.

"Working in teams of seven, you will race around the island, conquering each obstacle! McGarrett, stop looking so excited about this. Listen for your names! NO POWERS."

"No," Stark said flatly as he knelt down. "Come on. Try not to explode."

"Meep meep meep," Beaker said sulkily.

Beaker, Stark was pretty light but not that light.

"This will be faster," he said. "And nobody will be flattened." Or whatever it was that happened to Muppets who got a little squashed by an alien on their shoulders. Did Beaker even have shoulders?

Did the word "flattened" call the electronic sledgehammer? The world may never know, but here it came on its frankly ridiculous extension cord, smacking everything in its path.

"MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP."

"Now will you listen?" Stark asked, reaching out like he was going to just throw Beaker over his shoulder and make a break for it.

"Meep," Beaker said, clinging to Stark's leg.

So that should help.

"Does that count as carrying you?" Stark wondered as he took a few experimental steps.

He was absolutely going to detach that Muppet from his leg and put him on his back and hope for the best in a moment. And by 'the best' he meant that Beaker wouldn't strangle him or undo a mask buckle or explode along the way.

"Meep meep meepmeepmeepmeep meep," Beaker muttered, glacing around for the sledgehammer.

Oh, once the sledgehammer started getting closer (Stark was trying not to think too hard on how that worked) Stark did indeed just grab for Beaker to swing him over his shoulder and made a break for it.

"Please don't do anything," he said. Uselessly, probably.

"I did ask nicely," Stark pointed out in a resigned tone. He knew something was almost certainly coming. He was carrying Beaker. If something didn't go wrong he might worry about the state of the universe.

Well, they were still being chased by an electric sledgehammer that didn't seem bothered by stairs or why its giant extension cord wasn't getting wrapped around everything.

"Meep," Beaker agreed.

That was a minor detail!

"At least you aren't heavy." Which was very helpful with all these stairs. Had the island had this many stairs yesterday?
