Today was hot and humid, which meant that it was the perfect temperature for all of the water balloon-themed games Anakin had set out in the park today.

(Most of them were filled with water and that's all that matters, right?)

"As usual, you will be working in teams," Anakin shouted through his megaphone. "There are various stations for you to attempt! The most accurate team wins!"

Did anyone even care about winning these days?

"Listen for your names!"

Round Two: Water Balloon Dartboard

There was a giant dartboard in a different section of the park, and buckets full of water balloons filled with chocolate pudding. Working in pairs (Steph & Sakaki; Watts & Alara; Annie & Irene; Graham & Gray), you have to kick the balloons at the target. The first team to score two bulls-eyes wins.

"Damn, glad I stopped wearing any of my good shoes for this," Steph said, eyeing the bucket of water balloons dubiously.

She tried to scoop one of them up onto her toes and then sort of fling it at the target from there, which resulted in chocolate pudding all over her shoe because I rolled a 5 because OF COURSE I WAS GOING TO ROLL FOR IT.

"Dude, seriously?"

Sakaki definitely wasn't expecting the water balloon to have that particular weight to it, but she was stupidly, effortlessly athletic, so her first kick, while not hitting the bull-eye, was still pretty solid.

And then she blinked at the results.

"....pudding?" She asked, turning toward Steph as if to confirm.

Steph held up her right foot, with pudding still dripping steadily off the rubber toe of her very beat up Converse.

"Pudding," she confirmed with a sigh, and wound up to kick another water balloon. This one actually flew toward the target before splattering... about in the 5 ring, but satisfyingly at least.

"All right!" Graham, looking ecstatic, pumped his fist as it was his turn and he saw who he was partnered with. "Room 239! Represent!"

Then he flashed his roommate a big, bright, eager grin. "You ready for this, Gray?"

"Just a second!" Gray called. He liked these Chucks, he did not want to get chocolate pudding all over them. Once he had them unlaced and safely off his feet, he said, "Okay, let's get to work, roomie!"

"Yeah!" Graham rubbed his hands together eagerly, "let's do it!"

With that, he leaned in, considered the target, took a deep breath....

"Aaaaannnnnddd...." Graham ran up to a balloon, swung back his leg, and sent his foot flying like a pendulum, "kick!"

It was a good kick. If they were going for height over distance. The balloon wobbled up into the air and then came splashing down but a mere foot from where it had started.

"Yes!" said Graham, with another pump of his fist. "Progress!"

Alara looked at the balloons and then at the target she was supposed to hit and looked really uncertain.

“This could get a bit of a problem,” she admitted, even though she’d be using her feet and not her hands, her strength was still going to be a bit of an issue.
