The park today looked like an insane person with a ridiculous love of bunting had been allowed to go absolutely nuts setting up mazes.

(In related news, Beaker had been consulted for ideas.)

There were four main areas ~~of concern~~: a maze with four wheelie recycling bins set before it; a series of folding tables with a variety of fruit and implements on top of them; two large fences with roughly 300 rubber ducks perched on top of them (and a velvet rope 100 feet away from it); and a final maze of bunting with a chair in the center of it.

In the center of all of this mess was a large shed with a closed door.

Anakin looked extremely pleased with himself as he leaned against the Table o' Terrible T-Shirts.

"Welcome back!" he yelled into his bullhorn. "I am pleased to see such enthusiasm for our weekly community building activities."

Sure, let's go with that interpretation. "Today we have several new obstacles for you to master! The specifics of each shall be made clear-" well. Clear-ish. "--as we move to them. The team with the most number of points wins! Listen for your names:"

No reason at all.

"Yeah, well, you're pretty awesome too."

Steph looked over at her and smirked. "Oh, I know. Not even these awful fucking shirts can really disguise how awesome we are."

Which was saying something, because wow, were these shirts hideous.

"... though you taking the sleeves off helps with that, I guess."

Did Vi flex then, just a little? Maybe, but no one who wasn't standing right next to her would've been able to tell. "Does it?"

From the way Steph laughed? Yeah, she could tell.

"It's like fifteen percent less hideous shirt to look at, yeah," she said. "Plus you get to show off your dope-ass arms. In theory, they should be a pretty effective distraction from the abomination you're wearing."

In theory.

Snickering, Vi flexed a bit more obviously. "Just in theory?"

In practice these shirts were extremely hideous, even for Anakin.

"In theory," Steph repeated, snickering too at the extra flexing. "Like... for the right audience."

They were absolutely horrific. Which did not bode well for what they'd get foisted on them by the end of the summer.

Not at all.

"Hmm, any idea where I could find this audience?" Vi asked, making absolutely no attempt to move.

"Mmmm..." Steph gave Vi a long, considering look, then shrugged and reached out with her free hand to pat her on the bicep. "Not a clue, actually. Sorry. You might just have to settle for taking my word for it."

Vi just kind of blinked at Steph for a moment or two, before shaking her head and grinning. "Guess I have to."

Steph gave her a bright, totally innocent smile. "You definitely have an appreciative audience. Trust me on this."

She might not even have to look that far!
