The park today looked like an insane person with a ridiculous love of bunting had been allowed to go absolutely nuts setting up mazes.

(In related news, Beaker had been consulted for ideas.)

There were four main areas ~~of concern~~: a maze with four wheelie recycling bins set before it; a series of folding tables with a variety of fruit and implements on top of them; two large fences with roughly 300 rubber ducks perched on top of them (and a velvet rope 100 feet away from it); and a final maze of bunting with a chair in the center of it.

In the center of all of this mess was a large shed with a closed door.

Anakin looked extremely pleased with himself as he leaned against the Table o' Terrible T-Shirts.

"Welcome back!" he yelled into his bullhorn. "I am pleased to see such enthusiasm for our weekly community building activities."

Sure, let's go with that interpretation. "Today we have several new obstacles for you to master! The specifics of each shall be made clear-" well. Clear-ish. "--as we move to them. The team with the most number of points wins! Listen for your names:"

Look, Libby was just here to have a good wholesome time, despite being paired up with a witch and the devil's boyfriend, so she was just going to wonder for a moment if she'd have to play mediator to two full grown adult people in a moment here, and dutifully climbed into the bin to get comfortable.

As comfortable as one could be in a wheelie bin, anyway.

"So," she said, "what should I use to instruct you, since I can't use English? I don't know any other languages, but if we just made up our own, that should work fine, right?"

Margo was not a witch, thank you very much, she was a fucking Magician.

"Are you trying to toxic masculinity me?" Margo asked Duke, ignoring the problem at hand for a second. "That's cute. Adorable, really."

Then she looked at Libby. "And use morse code for all I care." She was already working up some magic to cheat with in her head, puhleaze.

"If it means you actually help, I'm happy to toxic-any gender you like," Duke said. "Look, German's easy. Links." He jerked a thumb to the left. "Recht." To the right. "Halt." Hand up in the 'stop' gesture. "And macht schnell means go faster. That work for you, kid?"

Sucking in a breath with a small prayer for the strength to hold through if she did, indeed, need to be mediator between two full grown adult people, Libby nodded.

"Links," she repeated, quickly, because the sooner they got moving, the sooner they ran the course, and hopefully, the sooner they could get to the end before her team imploded on itself, and lifted her hand that direction. "Recht." The arm went to the right. "Halt." Both hands up in front of her. "And mach schnell."

Another nod. "I think I've got it. What means 'go'?"

"It's rechts, not recht, unless you're trying to order me to straighten up, and that ain't going to happen."

Margo crossed her arms, mildly annoyed (but then when wasn't she some flavor of annoyed?). "Go is gehen."

Duke rolled his eyes, wondering if she was going to start in on poor Libby's accent next.

"Gehen Sie bitte zur Hölle," he said softly, and grabbed onto one side of the bin. "Ready?"
