Driving: From Woe to Go, Period One

Today, the danger shop was set up like GTA a city that was very clearly inspired by media rather than real life. Mostly because Jaskier and Cara's real lives tended toward more of a fantasy setting. Which took far more effort to include cars.

"Welcome back, so lovely to see you all once again," Jaskier said excitedly now that they had a plan for everything.

A plan that was only mostly completely taken from various movies they'd been watching over the past week. "It turns out that the most effective way to learn to drive cars is by stealing them." Which Cara still thought sounded kind of fake, but whatever.

"And to be chased through the city. Or be doing the chasing," Jaskier added. "So, we've decided to split you into teams to try it out!"

Were you ready for high powered, high speed, high octane excitement? Of course you were.

Pity your vehicles were still go-karts. But super sweet looking ones.

Running from teh law? That was something Vi knew how to do, even if she was still getting her head around driving.

Jumping in the kart, she immediately put the pedal to the floor.

Probably, it was definitely a thing Vi was ignoring as she took a corner way too fast.

Clare, meanwhile, was doing the speed limit and wondering if her cart had a turn signal. It was possible Clare wasn't cut out for this life.

Sakaki probably made the worst go-kart stealer in the entire world, having spent several minutes just sort of internally flailing at the prospect, even though it was clearly approved by the lesson. And then she just sort of looked to one side, then the other, then at the go-kart, and...

Well. She supposed she was steal it now, by slowly easing it into motion as if already expecting to be stopped, before, out of nervousness, putting way too much petal to the metal and careening forward wildly.

Jon grimaced. "From suspected of murder, to fake go-kart stealing. Why not?" He was used to running, and at least this didn't involve actual leg power.
