"Welcome back to another week of team-building!" Anakin yelled through his megaphone. "Today you will be in four teams of seven and you will be fishing with your toes for valuable prizes!"

They weren't that valuable, folks.

He gestured at the four inflatable pools located around the park with folding chairs circling them. "Working together, you have to pull 21 smallish objects from the water--" and be grateful that it's just water, "--using only your toes. And no powers. The fastest team to accomplish this wins. Listen for your name, come get your shirt and take off your shoes!"

"Okay, what weirdo put a donut into a pool?" Steve said, lifting it with his toes. "Ew."

"The same people who decided to pick random suckers from the audience to play?" Rosa suggested.

She was attempting to pick up a water snake with her toes. It wasn't going well.

"Yeah, that's his thing," Steve said. "But the activities are always interesting."

For given value of interesting that included picking up donuts with your toes.

"That's definitely a word for this," Rosa said. "You could also call it 'insane'. It's like a rehab counselor got really drunk before making an activity."

"Zounds!" Graham declared, maybe a bit dramatically through chattering teeth. "That'll wake you up in the morning."

It wasn't that bad, though, and Graham actually made quick work of at least catching one</i[ thing right away. "Hey!" He beamed as he squeezed the squishy ball thing he'd managed to snag. "I think we've <i>toe</i>-tally got this!" Yes, you can throw things at him. That was completely valid.

For a woman in a bright blue fishing lure shirt sitting with her feet in a kiddie pool, Rosa was taking this far too seriously. Which lead to plenty of creative curses whenever something slipped between her tors, and a good deal of threats to cut off those exact toes if they didn't start getting their shit together soon.

Oh, this was great. Libby was definitely borrowing this idea for a fun game for the Littles. It would probably be a disaster, but it would be a fun, clean, amusing one and a good wah to beat the summer heat.

Libby herself wasn't that great at it; her long hair kept dipping into the pool went she bent over to pick up something she'd managed to pick up with her toes, and there was a lot of it, just getting waterlogged and kind of annoying.

For some reason the goldfish kept swimming up to him while he was trying to find an object to pick up, so Goose was finding this to be more of a challenge.
