Good morning, everyone! It's time for another summer of Anakin Skywalker Thinks This Teaches Team Building and Also Amuses Himself (Mostly the Second Thing) but "Shenanigans" Is Easier!

The bleachers for viewing were set up in the park backed up to the pond and near the Belthazor Commemorative Divot. Food vendors, remembering how this worked, had arrived with hot dog, popcorn, and rum for the squirrels. And coffee. Just...so much coffee. Huge flatscreens were set up facing the bleachers, which gave people a hint that today's event would not just stay inside the park, and the cameras were trained at...well, ankle height or the sky for now because squirrels and rum.

Anakin and his bullhorn were standing behind a folding table stacked high with brightly patterned shirts and people who had been here before knew that just because the shirts were free, it never, ever meant you wanted to wear them.

"GOOD MORNING!" he boomed through the bullhorn when enough people were gathered. "Welcome to another summer of team building activities!"

He might be waiting for a while if he was expecting cheers, just saying.

"Today, as has become tradition, we shall conduct a relay race around the island to acquaint you newcomers with where things are!" he said. "Please listen as your name is called and then come up for your festive t-shirts. We shall have four teams of eight."

Oh boy, another summer of polyblend fashion nightmares to wear! Aren't you excited?

Meet up with your teammates and assess your odds. Or complain about the shirts. Or both!

It was funny, how accustomed to some things people could get. Sakaki couldn't help but figure her sleeplessness these past few days was due to Harry and Hedwig's absence...something about the soft hoots and ruffling feathers of her roommate's owl must have been quite the lullaby that she'd been desperately missing. And since any attempt at a nap was not going well, Sakaki went to the park for the summer thing, sitting in the bleachers and just sort of spacing out in a way that she'd have missed her name being called if not for a squirrel nudging her.

"Ehhh?" she asked, blinking out of her staring. "Nandesuka?"

Slowly, she remembered where she was and what she was supposed to doing, so she stood up almost numbly to go down and collect her shirt and find her teammates.

And then just burst out crying once she saw the shirt.

This shirt was way too much for how exhausted she was right now.

"Aww, it's not that ugly," Steve said with a little grin as he yanked off his first shirt and put on this one.

"Īe," Sakaki protested through the tears streaming down her cheeks, "totemo kawaīdesu!!"

Apparently, she was too tired for English, as well, as she clung desperately to her adorable new shirt as if it might run away from her.

"This is the coolest shirt I've ever owned." Buck immediately swapped his boring-ass shirt for the taco cat one and took a selfie for Eddie. Look how cool it was, Diaz!

Wanda had accepted this would be her fate this summer. And because she was tired from no sleep she kind of thought the shirt was cute?

Which was definitely a sign she needed a nap.

Oh, this was an exciting development from Isabela's previous summers here!

She eagerly put her shirt on...which wouldn't fasten over her, let's just go with assets. "How do I look?"

Vi held her shirt at arm's length, eyeing it off. Somehow Anakin had found something even less appealing as clothing than old prison rags.

"Just pretend you stole it from me," Steph yelled over at her, like a little shit. Was she already wearing her own horrifying shirt and looking far too delighted about it? Yes.

Stark was too tired to make much of a protest. He just accepted his shirt and his fate with a long-suffering sigh.

"Okay, I think I actually unironically love this," Steph said, holding up the shirt, which was just going to go on over her tank top like most of her other, less horrifying button downs.

Sure, Libby may have adopted the occasional pair of jeans (especially for situations like this), but a shirt like this was definitely the sort of thing to make her think she was never going to understand popular fashion.

She did think Zo would get a kick out of it and, after pulling it on and pulling out her hair from the neck of it, she may have looked around for someone to bug to get her a picture to send to her with it on.

"Oh, wow!" Graham marveled at his shirt for a moment before figuring out how to get it on under the cloak without actually removing it, and then held it out by its hem to admire it from this angle.

"This is great! Do you think they might have one in Triumph's size?"
