Good morning, everyone! It's time for another summer of Anakin Skywalker Thinks This Teaches Team Building and Also Amuses Himself (Mostly the Second Thing) but "Shenanigans" Is Easier!

The bleachers for viewing were set up in the park backed up to the pond and near the Belthazor Commemorative Divot. Food vendors, remembering how this worked, had arrived with hot dog, popcorn, and rum for the squirrels. And coffee. Just...so much coffee. Huge flatscreens were set up facing the bleachers, which gave people a hint that today's event would not just stay inside the park, and the cameras were trained at...well, ankle height or the sky for now because squirrels and rum.

Anakin and his bullhorn were standing behind a folding table stacked high with brightly patterned shirts and people who had been here before knew that just because the shirts were free, it never, ever meant you wanted to wear them.

"GOOD MORNING!" he boomed through the bullhorn when enough people were gathered. "Welcome to another summer of team building activities!"

He might be waiting for a while if he was expecting cheers, just saying.

"Today, as has become tradition, we shall conduct a relay race around the island to acquaint you newcomers with where things are!" he said. "Please listen as your name is called and then come up for your festive t-shirts. We shall have four teams of eight."

Graham was starting to wonder what he had to do to get himself a curse like Gray's, just so he could actually get some sleep! But, apparently, his excitement for being here was still keeping him all abuzz and restless. The fumes were running strong still, and he at least had a nice, easy, no hassle way to get to park, riding his way in on Triumph, and he forgot hoe tired he was when he saw the set-up.

"Zounds, Triumph!" he gushed in awe. "Look at all this! It's almost like a tournament! Maybe it is a tournament! You think they'll be a Test of Speed?"

He sure hoped so. Triumph hadn't been struggling to sleep like he had, so he was far better prepared for something like this than Mr. Stifling A Yawn on his back over here.

Irene was doing her best not to fall asleep in the stands. She'd turned up at the tail end of summer last year, and thus once again was prepared enough to wear trousers and a pair of flats to this thing -- but was anyone ever really prepared?

And more importantly: she was also in no danger of falling asleep, drowsy as she felt.

Steve would be heading back to New York later today but for now, he was enjoying the beautiful weather and, eventually, not wearing a terrifying shirt.

Jaina was Annoyed. There had been portal issues on the first week so she'd been in the hotel last night, sleeping terribly, and now she was gonna get called up to do this.

Yes she was. You know she was.

Was it taking a risk, leaving Lucille alone in their apartment with Issa? Maybe. But Tisarwat, stifling a yawn, really wanted to get some time to herself, the lack of sleep starting to get to her, and, conveniently, it was Wednesday,so she could see if anything worthwhile was happening for the shenanigans.

Yes, she knew she might get roped in, too, but it would be good for the whole 'be more social' thing.

Clint was in the bleachers with Lexi, totally in the name of father-daughter bonding and not because he hoped he wouldn't be voluntold if he had a child on his lap. The giant cup of coffee was just his normal dose.

Sidon was absolutely here to test the durability and holding strength of those bleachers and cheer on with gusto those lucky enough to be participating today!

He would be trying to cheer on everyone equally, but he would have to admit a alight bias toward Team Cat-Dolphins.

(The shark hats, as well,he felt was an exceptionally nice touch! If only they'd been red!)

Liz was extremely tired but she had told Prompto that she would make the effort and turn up to the shenanigans, especially after how much he had talked about them and she did have her camera to take some photos for him to show what they were like this year.

She was still missing Prompto and wished he was here to take part though.
