Student Council meeting (lunchtime)

Josh was waiting for the Student Council.

"Sorry I wasn't here last week--I had a thing." He looked around the room. "So. Prom, Poker night, other stuff. Tell me what's going on."

"It's next Saturday--how are we doing on planning?"

"We got the City Hall to ourselves from two pm to two am Saturday. It'll be 500 dollars, we can either fundraise, charge admission, or I can just pay it and we can move on to the next point. We need a theme, other than "Seniors, we're sorry to see you go. And um, decorations, food, and music. Oh yes, and chaperones."

"How about 'Seniors, we're glad to see you go'?" Peter suggested. Then he looked to the seniors in the room. "Kidding, obviously. Um. I'll be quiet before anyone decides to smite me."

Alanna hit him on the head with her folder. "Oh, and I need a date. Are there any guys who don't have significant others left?"

"I think there might be one or two," Isabel said. "But they're pretty much and endangered species."

"I'll put up a thing for chaperones in the teachers' lounge," Josh said. "Because as much as I like you all, I'm not dealing with prom by myself."

"Thank you, sir! Um, let's aim for five or six chaperones? Nothing major ever happened at a dance before, so hopefully that won't change."

"In order to get everyone to City Hall from the dorms, maybe we could work out something with the mayor about getting a golf cart limo service thing going."

"I got us a band, Former Acting Princypal Finn's band in fact. Zero also offered to bring her acoustic and play a few songs if the band wants to take a break... Unless she's otherwise occupied with her date." said Pippi who had no idea who Zero's date was but could probably guess based on past radio broadcasts.

Alanna made a check mark on her to do list. "All right! Any ideas for a theme?"

The last time Pippi needed to come up with a theme, it was for Nadia's birthday party and the theme was "construction". So she may not be the best person to ask.

"Underwater is easy to do... You just put blue glass over all the lights."

Alanna turned seven different shades of green. "Good theme, except I get sea-sick so um, can I not do decorations?"

Pippi chuckled. All seven of those shades would be good for decorations.

"Sea-sickness comes from rolling around ontop of the water! This is under it, much more peaceful!"

Alanna shook her head. "If we don't get another idea for a theme by the end of the day, you're in charge of decorations. Or you can get Parker and/or Elizabeth to do it."

"No worries!" she said.

"But." she bit her lip, "Maybe we should think of something else anyway, if it's that bad, you wouldn't be able attend. Which would suck. Much like robots, snowmen, fishmonsters, and Nazis."

"I'd attend. I just wouldn't decorate." Alanna grinned at Pippi.

"Pirates... ninjas... what's a significant thing here for the school and the seniors?" Parker looked over at Angel. "Okay, we're not decorating City Hall like a cemetery. Just to rule that out."

"Combine the pirates with the water theme? Though I'm still not decorating. Speaking of, Parker, feel like volunteering for the decorations?" Alanna beamed at Miss Parker.

Parker sighed. "In the interest of us not ending up with some lame Zombies of the Lost City theme, yes. I'll get that organized." And worst case scenario, it would look exactly the way she wanted.

"Thank you! Um, food wise, what does one typically find at a prom?" Alanna made another check on her to do list.

"There could be a sit down dinner, a buffet or finger foods," Elizabeth said. "Buffet's going to be the most expensive."

Elizabeth bit her lip. "What's wrong with Lost Cities?" she asked, grinning slightly and ducking her head.

Parker cocked her head warily. "You really want a volcano in the middle of the ballroom for Pompeii? I guess it *could* be done right. Are you suggesting something?"
