"Today, since it's between sessions, Beaker has decided to take point," Anakin announced from where his bullhorn was poking out from an absolutely enormous pile of donuts.

The new raccoons had apparently decided to show up today to get new customers through their amazing donuts...tower...things.

So. There were a lot of donuts.

Just. A lot.

"Today we're going to use these donuts--thank you, County Donuts--in a relay race...thing. You can only pass them under your chin. Fortunately, we have a lot of extras for when you drop them!"

He turned to Beaker. "Are there any other rules?"

Beaker meeped extensively. Anakin's eyes went wide. "Well, that's going to get messy."

"Meep meep."

Anakin coughed. "Apparently the donuts are also on a timer and they will disintegrate into sprinkles--or jelly, or cream--if you take too long."

Thank you, Muppet physics.

"Listen for your names! There will be four teams of seven."

Beaker meeped smugly.

Anakin sighed. "And I, apparently, have been included. Come get your t-shirts."

"I don't understand the joke," said poor, Irish Clare.

"It's, like, not even that good of one," Summer offered in sympathy. "They really shoe-horned that in there, but, the dude on the shirt's Ben Franklin. Same guy on our hundos. One of the so called 'Founding Fathers'," which didn't need sarcastic finger quotes, but Summer was giving them anyway. "So I guess some frat guys would think 'Franklin' and 'Drankin' are close enough to be hilarious."

And so one part of her was definitely a frat guy, because there was definitely a part of her who did think it was at least amusing.

She would much rather party with a Ben Drankin' over an Abradolf Lincler any day of the week.

"Ohh," Clare said, looking down at the shirt now with new appreciation. Well. Slight appreciation. "My friend Michelle would think that was a scream."

"The guy was also notoriously a sloppy ass drunken womanizer, too," Summer offered, "just to add a little extra spice for ya."

...hmm. This was almost making her wonder if she should teach a history class next semester. It would definitely be way more helpful than any history class she'd ever taken...

(Outside the context of this school, anyway).

"So he'd probably enjoy this shirt?" Clare guessed.

"He would definitely enjoy this shirt," Summer decided with a firm nod. "And would probably use it to pick up chicks. Like, he'd be all, 'See this dude?'" Summer, with her best bro-voice and bro-face, pointed down at the shirt, then cocked her chin up and did a shockingly good immitation of that cocky bro-scoff. "'That's me.'"

And then she wanted to say that he'd be surprised that the room wasn't instantly flooded, but she knew way too many girls who would probably actually be super into that, TRICIA.

"That would definitely work on Michelle," Clare said. "She thinks Robbie Williams is communicatin' to her through the television."

"Who's Robbie Williams?" asked Summer, because fucking Zoomers.

Also, in Summer's experience, it seemed entirely possible that whoever he was, he actually might be.

"Sweet and merciful Jesus, does Take That not exist in your world?!"

This was genuinely upsetting, Summer! How could you live without them?

"I mean," said Summer, "it's possible?"

They did, it's just Summer still had ten years before she was even born when they first showed up, and they definitely didn't exactly get as much traction on her side of the pond, anyway, soo...

"What is that, like a band or something?"

Now if you wanted to talk about pop boy bands from English, you...would definitely need to go a little more recent. Do not even get her started on 1D, you guys, omg.
