"Today, since it's between sessions, Beaker has decided to take point," Anakin announced from where his bullhorn was poking out from an absolutely enormous pile of donuts.

The new raccoons had apparently decided to show up today to get new customers through their amazing donuts...tower...things.

So. There were a lot of donuts.

Just. A lot.

"Today we're going to use these donuts--thank you, County Donuts--in a relay race...thing. You can only pass them under your chin. Fortunately, we have a lot of extras for when you drop them!"

He turned to Beaker. "Are there any other rules?"

Beaker meeped extensively. Anakin's eyes went wide. "Well, that's going to get messy."

"Meep meep."

Anakin coughed. "Apparently the donuts are also on a timer and they will disintegrate into sprinkles--or jelly, or cream--if you take too long."

Thank you, Muppet physics.

"Listen for your names! There will be four teams of seven."

Beaker meeped smugly.

Anakin sighed. "And I, apparently, have been included. Come get your t-shirts."

Belle to Ben to Miguel to Amaya to Dwight to Prompto to Hannibal! Lick away! At the donuts!

"I have never done anything like this," Belle said, picking up her donut and giving it a considering look. "Is there a point to it aside from ending up covered in donut?"

"There is zero point to this," Ben said, laughing. "We're going to be absolutely covered in sugar."

And he'd already been tasting ice cream all morning!

Belle had a faint taste of candied roses all day, though she couldn't quite identify it herself.

"It will be very sticky. I suppose we ought to start before any of these donuts fall apart on us."

Alas, Belle spoke too soon and her hand was suddenly full of sprinkles instead of a full donut. "Any more donuts," she said, picking up another and quickly putting it under her chin.

"Excellent work," Ben teased. "Um, sorry for getting so...personal," he added as he moved in close, trying to hook the donut with his chin.

Belle didn't mean to jerk her head back but there was a strange man suddenly leaning in close to her face. And there went the donut and now she was giggling.

"Sorry!"

And now Ben had accidentally licked a kid who looked like Tahiri. "Sithspit!"

It's ok, Ben, Belle has a thing for older men with mysterious powers. Jedi totally counted.

That had only made her giggle more as she reached for another donut. "This shouldn't be that difficult!"

How very dare. Ben was much cuter than Rumple!

"And yet here were are," Ben said, laughing. "Okay. Third time's the charm."

Ben was also much less sparkly.

"We can manage this," Belle said, tucking the donut under her chin. "I'm sure of it."

Ben hooked his chin around the donut and pulled it carefully away. "Okay," he said. "This is dumb. Miguel?"

"Definitely dumb and weird." Miguel rolled his eyes and leaned in. "They didn't say no powers, right?" He wasn't sure what Beaker meant half the time, but he didn't think he'd heard that.

"Hold still, I can stabilize it."

This could in no way go poorly.

"Why do I have a bad feeling about this?" Ben wondered, holding still.

"No idea." Miguel grinned and shot webbing at the doughnut.

The doughnut took offense and exploded, sending cream and webbing everywhere.

Miguel scowled. "Shock it."

"Tempting," Ben said, wiping cream from his face, "but Force lightning is a Dark Side power."

"Huh?" Miguel took a second to go over the conversation as he cleaned the mess off his hands, too. "Not literally, it's just a saying." Because Marvel didn't like the word "fuck".

"Okay, webbing's out. Stupid things. Try again?"

"Trying again," Ben confirmed, picking up another donut and leaning in with his neck.

Miguel leaned in, too, not sure if he should be glad or sad he didn't have talons on his neck. On the one hand, it'd be easier to grip. On the other, it'd be easier to puncture.

"This is ridiculous." He got his neck in there and did his best to grab the doughnut. "Did they really have to put sugar on them?"

"Probably not," Ben agreed, "but where's the fun in that?"

"Where's the fun in this?" Miguel griped. Yes, he planned on bitching the entire time. "Okay, I think I've got it."

"I think the fun is watching everyone else suffer after you're finished," Ben said.

"Entirely possible," Miguel agreed. He got the doughnut and turned around as quickly as he could without dropping it. "All yours, Amaya!"
