Another Wednesday, another insane set-up in the park!

Today there was a new, six part metal obstacle course set up: a tilted cube, a mountain, a loading bay, the ridge, the front line, and The Sisters.

"Welcome to professional tag," Anakin yelled into his megaphone, "which is apparently a sport now. We will divide into two teams: Team Pizza will be the taggers, Team Dread will be the, um, don't get tagged."

He was from a different galaxy, what do you want from him?

"Going in pairs, you will have 20 seconds in the obstacle course to either track down or evade the other person. If you get tagged, the other team gets a point. If you evade getting tagged, your team gets a point It's pretty easy. Listen for your name and then come get your shirt!"

Honestly? Prompto was a little surprised the feint had worked, so that boosted his confidence in just using his general spazziness to his advantage in this case. His mind started to reel as he slid underneath one of the platforms, unable to help thinking of how sick it would look if this was a battle, and he had his guns drawn and ready and just started blasting at some Nifs--

--focus, Prompto! He knew if he got caught up in his head, he was going to forget what he was doing and that there was a chick he was supposed to be avoiding (now there was a concept!). He did one more half-hearted feint, not expecting it to work nearly as well a second-time, but, this time, he was going to feint going underneath the next platform, but instead, hop up onot the one next to it and do a little hop around it that way with a small little hup! and a dash toward the next barrier he could try to put between Annie and himself.

The second feint did not work -- nice try, dude! -- but Annie did foolishly follow him up over and around those platforms, which also lost her some valuable time.

Once again, Annie was very much envious of people who could fly. Super-speed she could do without, and she didn't even want to teleport like Five could -- but speed on foot was not her strong suit. Like, Steve and Diego could both outrun her, and now apparently Prompto, too.

At least she had her strength in her favor, so it wasn't hard at all for her to propel herself up and over the barrier, even if she was lagging behind in a way she did not like at all.

Hey, Prompto spent the last five years getting up super early almost every other morning just to run! He took his running pretty seriously!

And he was determined to keep running, keep jumping, keep hopping onto all these obstacles, though he was tempted to look back and see if Annie was gaining on him. But he couldn't do that, if he did that, he'd psych himself out, but eventually he got to the corner of the course and figured that was a good time to stop for a moment to breath, before setting off in the next direction.

Hey, at this point, maybe all he'd have to do is beat out the clock, and he was getting a really good momentum going!

(Which probably meant, just as he was getting pumped, their round was about to end).
