Another Wednesday, another insane set-up in the park!

Today there was a new, six part metal obstacle course set up: a tilted cube, a mountain, a loading bay, the ridge, the front line, and The Sisters.

"Welcome to professional tag," Anakin yelled into his megaphone, "which is apparently a sport now. We will divide into two teams: Team Pizza will be the taggers, Team Dread will be the, um, don't get tagged."

He was from a different galaxy, what do you want from him?

"Going in pairs, you will have 20 seconds in the obstacle course to either track down or evade the other person. If you get tagged, the other team gets a point. If you evade getting tagged, your team gets a point It's pretty easy. Listen for your name and then come get your shirt!"

Steve's pizza shirt was definitely on the smedium size for the whole...chest thing he had going...and he grinned at her. "Mom not a big pun fan?"

"She's a big, like, Laura Ashley kind of lady," Annie assured him, pulling her shirt on over her existing T-shirt. "Matchy-matchy, always has her hair done, no one can see her without makeup, et cetera."

She gestured majestically at the angry pizza slice. "There's no room for novelty T-shirts in Donna January's life."

"Oh, you have just opened up a whole new world of exciting Christmas gift options for me," Steve said, laughing. "Hawai'i is full of terrible t-shirts. Just so many lei puns."

"As is only right," Annie agreed. "I mean, you guys have the whole 'lei' thing -- that alone is huge, I'm sure. And then there's the tourist factor. People wear dumb shit on vacation for the joy of it. I mean, I got Diego to wear orange when we visited."

And he had looked great in it. She maintained that.

"That was amazing," Steve agreed. "So, welcome to the crazy! I'm glad you're on my team."

"Thanks! This seems less crazy than the relay I had to do at the very beginning," Annie noted. "I've only had to do all of this one time and then I...you know, kind of made a point to avoid the park, if not the island, on Wednesdays."

Not today, though. Not today.

"I've done all of them," Steve said, laughing. "I might be one of the only people who enjoys it."

Which explained a lot about how he ended up as a SEAL.

"Well, novelty shirts and athleticism," Annie teased. "There may as well be like, a beacon calling you here. So that means you had to do the one where everyone was squirrel-sized?"

Of course she'd heard about that. It had been, like, pretty noteworthy.

"That might have been Danny's favorite day," Steve said. "I didn't stop being short until after I stopped by the office. And fell into the snack drawer."

"I've had dreams like that. Cookies as big as me," Annie sighed with a smile.

She might not have minded being squirrel-sized, if she was the same size as some Oreos, you know?

Steve laughed. "Cookies didn't even occur to me," he admitted.

"First thing I thought of," Annie tsked. "But then, I'm usually thinking about cookies."

It was, quite honestly, part of why she was in such good shape. Annie's running habit barely kept apace with her baked-good habit.

"Guess I should make sure there's cookies in the snack drawer, then," he said with a little smile, "even if they aren't as big as you are."
