Did Anakin look weirdly chipper today? It was because he was just so excited about field day! Really! There were a number of stations set up around the park ~~with varying degrees of ridiculousness~~ that would definitely not be funny only for people watching.

Cough. Really.

"We will be in three teams of nine today!" Anakin yelled into the bullhorn, "so come up and get your t-shirts!"

Whether everyone would stay clothed was another question. And no, Anakin had no idea where these clearly-intended-for-various-elementary-schools shirts came from and how they might only fit Beaker.

...they might only fit Beaker.

Beaker had definitely ordered these.

This is for the last four team members (Tahani, Jaskier, Stark, Barry; Wanda, Ben, Alexis, Din; and Summer, Troy, Beaker, Enola)

The first two named team members hold the arms of the water balloon launcher while the third person launches the balloons the fourth person hands them. You are aiming at a huge target and are trying to hit it five times with balloons. Not with Beaker.

Okay, this actually looked pretty fun. And Anakin hadn't said anything about not using powers so she was more than happy to do the holding of the arms here without pulling any muscles.

One, where the kriff did his helmet go? Two, none of this sounded like a good plan.

"What is happening here?"

"Looks like we get to play with water balloons," said the woman who was now in black in white and wearing a wedding dress.

Oh thank space Jesus, his helmet was back.

"...right. Are you okay?"

"No, I'm really not." She wasn't quite "blew up a building of people" upset, but it was close. At least she was in color again. "This is ridiculous."

Would a small, adorable, space baby offering her a metal ball help? Because that's what was happening.

"Ohhhhhh my goooooooood." That was the most adorable thing she had ever seen. "You are so cute!"

Well. That did improve her mood a lot.

"He gets that reaction a lot," Din said as his cape billowed dramatically.

Whelp, suddenly there was a Sokovian accented child coo'ing over Grogu. "Is he your son?"

Yeah, Din, is that what you looked like under the helmet?

"He's a foundling," Din told the... child. The new one.

"Iiiiiiiiiiii am not doing this," Tahani trilled.

"It'll be fine," Jaskier said, trying to coax her into participating.

"I will break my nails," Tahani said, "and I just got them done."

Stark was looking far more serious than the situation required.

"We don't want that to happen," he assured Tahani.

"Good," Tahani said, looking disgusted. "It would be so unfortunate.."

"It's an unfortunate day," Stark said, suddenly wrapped in cloth.

Enola felt extremely happy about her chances here. "Come along boys... er. Boy and whatever you are," Enola said, cheerfully. "I feel very good about our changes here. Let's show these other teams what we can do!"

She picked up the water balloon and giggled. "I've never seen one of these before! How delightful!"

"Meep meep meep meep," Beaker said, alarmed.

"Well," said Summer, who had found a bed to curl up into and was already reaching to turn out the lamp despite it being the middle of the day, "I think you've all got this. I should really get some rest."

She could pretty much die at any moment, after all, and that had nothing to do with random icons.

"Good night~!"

"I guess," said Troy, without his shirt, as he reached for the balloon launcher, "I'm supposed to manage this thing by myself now??"

He didn't know just going to bed was an option. He probably would have elected to do that, himself, if he'd known.

"Yes, but do you have to do it with so much skin exposure?" Enola asked feeling suddenly very confused.

Of course there was a girl going to sleep in the middle of a water balloon war, a creature who could only say "Meep" and of course a shirtless boy.

"Meep meep meep!" Beaker said joyfully.

Well, Summer at least wasn't asleep for long, because she was rudely awakened and pulled out of bed by something slithering around her.

"OHMYGOD!" she screamed, jolting up with a look of shock and trying not to move too much to agitate her attacker. "There's snakes in this bed!"

"Just relax, Summer," said Troy, who had found a nice Hawaiian-style print shirt and just decided to kick back and chill for a moment. "They're just snakes..."
