Fandom High Graduation Ceremony, Class of 2021, Early Saturday Evening

After everything that had happened this week, it felt a little strange to just move on with graduation like normal. But, traditions were important, everything seemed to be mostly back to normal, and a little celebration might do wonders for cheering people up after such an emotionally taxing week. Plus, Fandom had to be out of weird crap to throw at people, so maybe the ceremony would be nice and mundane.

No one was actually saying that out loud, of course, but there was nothing wrong with holding onto a little hope.

As the sun went down, the finishing touches of decorations were made; the lawn of the school had been lit up with blue and gold lights, and there were chairs set up for all of the graduates, along with plenty of seats for guests to come and watch. The weather was behaving itself, and it looked like it would be a nice, warm spring evening.

"I remember some of the reasons I left," Hera said. She grinned. "And some of the fun, too. Wish I could've tossed you a blaster, though."

"Oh, I came prepared. Extra prepared," Sabine assured her. "And then paddles were more effective."

"Whatever works best," Hera agreed. "Weird, but effective." She shrugged. "I wish I could offer you something similar, but it's still a lot more serious back home."

"That's okay, home's more my speed anyway," Sabine said. "I got all my supplies packed up this morning."

Hera nodded. "We've picked up another crew member since we left here. I think you'll like Zeb. We're meeting him and Kanan on Lothal, but they know not to expect us any specific time. Given the way this place works, I just said I'll call them if we got delayed." She smiled. "So we're not in a hurry if you need to say goodbyes or get one last anything for the road."

"Thanks. There are some people I need to check in with first," Sabine told her. "The new guy didn't get my room, did he?"

And she was absolutely going to check if the bird footprints she left were still there.

"Definitely not," Hera assured her. "It's still just the way you left it." She loaded a couple boxes onto a hovercart. "I'll get everything in. Take your time."
