Fandom High Graduation Ceremony, Class of 2021, Early Saturday Evening

After everything that had happened this week, it felt a little strange to just move on with graduation like normal. But, traditions were important, everything seemed to be mostly back to normal, and a little celebration might do wonders for cheering people up after such an emotionally taxing week. Plus, Fandom had to be out of weird crap to throw at people, so maybe the ceremony would be nice and mundane.

No one was actually saying that out loud, of course, but there was nothing wrong with holding onto a little hope.

As the sun went down, the finishing touches of decorations were made; the lawn of the school had been lit up with blue and gold lights, and there were chairs set up for all of the graduates, along with plenty of seats for guests to come and watch. The weather was behaving itself, and it looked like it would be a nice, warm spring evening.

Once the speeches were over, Zoe came back up to the podium, and called each graduate's name to give them their diploma.

Adora had really been hoping to watch what everyone else here did, so of course she was up first.

At least she didn't trip over her own feet out of nervousness?

Catra wasn't anywhere near as loud as some people, but she was smiling and Adora would totally be able to tell she proud of her for getting that dumb piece of paper even if she wasn't as vocal about it as Sparkles and Bow here.

Lana in her blue and gold Sith robes and overdone makeup took a deep breath and smiled as she went to collect her diploma. She nodded and smiled, even as she wondered what came next for her.

This wasn't the place Sabine originally thought she was going to graduate from, but this way honestly way better. She didn't do anything out of the ordinary to get her diploma, though. She was happy enough just getting it.

Hera smiled and cheered at Sabine. In her opinion, much better here than any Imperial academy, and she was happy for her friend.

From the audience came a decidedly displeased male voice. "To where, sister?"

Katy definitely wasn't going to be cheering for anyone as loudly as she would be for Wayne, but Shuri would definitely be coming in at a close second for that.

Here was Ulysses, looking... honestly, a little dazed about the whole thing. There were small cuts and scratches on his face and his hands from the thorny vines yesterday, and he was pretty sure he would have to come up with soem excuse for why he wouldn't be able to send his parents any pictures from the ceremony.

Got his diploma without incident, though.

And somehow, he was still feeling confident that'd be the end of things.

Wayne all but lumbered across the stage stiffly to go on up and get his diploma with a nod and a handshake and then lumbered back off again.

Oh, Wayne totally got cheers from Miles. He might come off as a grump but anyone who makes breakfast for everyone every Monday deserves a good cheer.
