"Huh," Angela said. "Maybe ninth grade is nationwide expose-the-kids-to-modern-art year."

"I have to say, I didn't get a lot of his stuff." She watched the video for a moment. "Still don't."

"Yeah, I'm not entirely sure what the artistic message behind that--" Xander pointed to the screen. "--is, besides maybe 'Soup is good food.' "

For once Isabel has come to class prepared. It's too early for popcorn, so instead she has a bag of trail mix. She's willing to share.

Xander is... not wearing a toga. And is kind of watching the movie. A little? Sort of. Maybe. Every so often.

"Hi!" he says, looking over at Xander.

"Hey." Xander looks away from the movie, which, wonder of wonders, he was actually paying attention to for a second there.

The associative properties of the human brain can be a little annoying at times, though. "That was, um. Weird. Last night. With Parker."

"But the rest of it?" He shrugs a little awkwardly.

"Pretty much, yeah. Which..." Xander spreads his hands. "I was under the impression was a running gag? But then Parker had her 'yay boyfriend' bouncefest and I teased her about the Easter thing, and she went all 'woe, vaguely guilty, was serious.' "

Barbossa watched the movie, looking perplexed. "The last teacher who be lookin' like ye be sayin' that this might not be art," he said. "How much might it be worth if I were t' liberate it, as it were?"
