The Danger Shop was set up like a very large childcare center today with The Tick standing in the middle of the room. "Hello, students!" he said when the students entered the shop. "Come over here and sit in a circle!"

He passed around the sign-in sheet, with the following names on it:

Angel
Callisto
Samantha Carter
John Crichton
Alphonse Elric

"Today, you'll be learning about responsibility in one of the most trying ways there is. Today, you'll be watching children! The kids themselves are just Danger Shop holograms, so they can't actually be hurt or anything, but you should still treat them as you would a real child. You're responsible for their fake well-being and you shouldn't expect me to bail you out if you have trouble. Please remember, they outnumber you. The simulation will end at 5:00 PM FHT. Okay, bring on the kids!"

Another list appeared. This list was of the children who would be here today.

[OOC: In the shop is pretty much everything you might need in a typical childcare facility. Toys, books, bits of electronic that could be fashioned into a laser gun laying around in some drawers... The usual. You can leave as early as 5:00 EST, but feel free to play past that if you're having fun.

The activities listed are guidelines the students should work toward. The children... well, they'll do what they'll do. Hopefully it'll all go together smoothly and we won't have someone fingerpainting during naptime. Right. Becuase what we want is for this to be easy. Sure.

That all said, this will be very hands off for me. Jump in, play, and try not to kill each other.

"Ah!" yelled Stewie when he gets hit again. "My name is none of your concern! All you need to know is that I will be your doom!"

He throws the bear back at Billy.

"I hear that all the time," Billy says, unfazed as he catches the bear with his face.

When he crawls back out from under it, he pulls himself back up into the toybox, muttering, "Necronomicon? Nope! Grim's spare scythe? Nope. Oh look! A possessed gremlin doll!"

"Necronomican? Scythes?" questioned Stewie. "Good lord man for an idiot you sure know about fun toys!"

He walks over towards Billy. "I say, where do you find such toys? My redheaded overlord refuses to give me such things. Tell me!"

"My friend Grim has the best toys EVAR!" He throws a golden apple out of the box and keeps rummaging.

"No!" Sam hollered, running over. "No doom! And no throwing."

She remembered something she'd seen somewhere. "This is one, for all of you."

"One?" Billy asks as he hits the on switch on the toy and the gremlin doll in his hands' eyes light up. It growls and snaps, missing a truly terrible bite by millimeters as he holds it out to her.

Billy, however, completely fails to notice his brush with sharp teeth.

"You want my toy?"

Sam didn't miss the sharp teeth. "Er, yes, please. Thank you for being such a good sharer."

Billy tosses her the gremlin doll and grins. "I have one just like this at home. I don't need it."

The gremlin doll has a prominent on/off switch Sam might like to hit before it bites her.

Sam jerked her left arm out of the way of the teeth, then turned off the switch with her right hand. "Great..."

She locked it in the cabinet with the toy she'd taken from Stewie earlier.

Billy climbs back into the toybox and disappears.

His voice echoes up as though from a great distance. "Does anyone want a mummy?" His head peeks over the lid. "Not a mommy, a mummy. There's one in here looking for its baby."

"Are you my mummy?" Jamie piped up.

"One? Are you threatening me blonde one?" he asks. He walks up to her feet, trying to seem intimidating. "I'm warning you. There will be only one warning for you. And that warning will be a clubbed knee cap!"

"That's two," she said, trying to be stern. "I'm sure you know how this works."

Stewie glared at Sam but he didn't say anything. In his mind he was planning evil, evil things that he could do to Sam. He took out a pad of paper and a pencil and flipped to his "People to kill" list.

Sam didn't like the glare, but was happy that he seemed to have calmed down. "Good. Don't worry, I'm sure your mother will be here soon."

I hope.

"Let me in, Mummy, I'm scared of the bombs," the little blond boy in the gas mask said.

"Cooooool!" Billy yells, peeking up over the top of the toy box. "What a cooool mask! You look just like someone I know..."

"Bombs?" Sam couldn't help being freaked out. "There aren't any bombs. You're safe here."

"Bombs! Bombs! Bombs!" Billy climbs out of the toybox and starts dancing around Sam chanting the Bombsong.

Then he stops, belches hugely, and starts to scratch his belly.

"I can see you, Mummy!" Jamie crowed. "I'm scared of the bombs!"

Sam crouched down and held him by the shoulders. "There. Are. No. Bombs. Listen."

"Are you my mummy?"

Sam thought they'd covered this already. "No. I'm not."

Jamie tried a different, slightly less creepy tack. "Have you seen my mummy?"

"No, I'm sorry, honey, I haven't." Sam paused. "I'm sure she'll be here soon, though?"
