BWI Airport Portalocity Lounge, Saturday Morning

No more than a few minutes ago, Five had been waiting in Dallas, Texas in 1963 to make sure Kennedy died. The fact that he was in the future/past wasn't actually that strange for him. Because his job. The fact that he was now physically a teenager again, however, really was strange. And annoying.

Mostly annoying.

He grabbed a newspaper--it was 2021 somehow??--and a coffee to take a seat where he could unobtrusively observe people. The fact that he was basically a kid in an ill-fitting suit and sitting near a glittery sign that proclaimed this the pick up spot for Fandom High was just a side-note.

Lydia had left Winter River this morning with mixed feelings. On the one hand, for the first time in years, it was sort of tolerable to be home. On the other, boarding school. Boarding school in a castle, by the looks of the brochure. And while Lydia knew full darn well that part of this was Delia just trying to get her stepdaughter out of her hair for awhile, and while she would really miss Adam and Barbara...this might be sort of all right.

She found the lounge and the sign - which, you know, she didn't exactly love but as long as the glitter didn't get on her and her head-to-toe black, she wouldn't care - and gave a little nod to Five in greeting before taking a nearby seat.

"Are you actually reading that or just trying to look busy while you wait?" she asked with very little inflection, nodding to his paper.

Lydia actually raised a brow, plucking up a copy of Newsweek that she was just going to blatantly use to look busy and not even pretend to read, thank you. "Oh, okay. Nice suit."

He looked like a total weirdo. But, you know. Total weirdos were kind of Lydia's people, so she also actually kind of meant it.

Lydia gestured to the sign. "Going to boarding school." And now she felt like an idiot because she had assumed he was, too. "Aren't you?"

"Well, you don't not look like you could be going to boarding school," Lydia said honestly.

She'd be sort of jealous that only Five got a school uniform when they got there, but also grateful to be able to keep her fingerless black glove thing going.

"You look younger than me," Lydia pointed out, shrugging a shoulder. "And I'm going to be a junior. But okay."

Lydia had recently gone through a long anti-school phase, so she was mostly just filing away, 'I'm too old for school,' as a future excuse for her parents if she ended up hating this place. It was at least a new one!

"I said you look younger," Lydia pointed out slowly, after a pause. This just got a lot more interesting. "What kind of a temporal mistake did you make?"

Having fairly recently dodged the bullet of having to marry a milennia-old demon in order to save her new ghost friends, Lydia was pretty hard to faze.

"I see. And your consequence is that you have to be a freshman but really you're an old man?" Lydia asked, kind of following along there despite also feeling vaguely insulted. "I mean, harsh."

"Huh." Who even knew what year it was where Lydia was from. "You seem surprised by that." Maybe they'd all time-traveled! Lydia wasn't ruling anything out.

"Doesn't look like it took," Lydia noted dryly, looking around. "Maybe you fixed it."

She was from a canon that wrapped things up in a neat ninety minutes, so it seemed possible to her.
