Welcome, students, to Ethics class, currently being presided over by a surly teenager with the galaxy's most unfortunate haircut.

"Hi," Anakin said, hopping down from the desk he'd been sitting on, swinging his booted legs. "Apparently I'm supposed to be talking to you about making correct moral choices or something today."

He made a face. This assignment had Obi-Wan's meddling written all over it. "But that sounds super boring. So instead we're going over to the Flight Shed to play with the simulators and shoot droids out of the sky!"

Much more fun.

"I'm doing her a favor," Troy insisted. "Besides, what's the worst that can happen? She fails me in class?"

Like grades had ever mattered to Troy before.

Wait, though. He'd lost his football scholarship.

Grades actually did matter now!

"You don't want to fail Econ," she pointed out. "That's, like, one of the classes that actually looks normal on a transcript from here!!!!!!!!!!!"

Actually, Friday classes were great for that. Ethics, econ, and French.

"Yeah, but," said Troy, with maybe a slight note of panic in his voice, because he really didn't want to have to face an actual ethical conundrum in this class today...or pretty much in the class ever! "Even with the Multidimensional in it?"

He didn't know what kind of schools Nina went to before this one, but that wasn't exactly part of the core curriculum most places, he was pretty sure!

"Well, like, yeah," Nina said, surprised he'd even think it wouldn't count. "They'll think it's something like what we've been doing--hand's on, in a store, one week, then working on numbers another week, and so on??????? That's multidimensional!!!!!!!! You don't even need to lie if they ask about it, just leave out the other world parts and talk about how we went to visit a factory and see the production lines, then how we worked in a shop in town to get some experience there..........."

That actually was a pretty smart take on it, so Troy was sort of looking at Nina now in a way that was clearly wondering how she would have ever expected him to be able to look at something with that much cleverness. Like, she'd met him, right?

"It still seems pretty unethical," he tried, since she was going to go be a smarty-pants about it and they were in ethics class now, "to be nice to someone just for a good grade..."

But if that did work in his favor...

His chin quirked toward their other obviously de-aged teacher.

"How long does something like this usually last, anyway?"

"Since it started on Thursday," Nina mused, completely ignoring the ethics part of his comment, "it should either be over by Monday or next Thursday?????????"

She shrugged a little.

"Not a lot time to suck up to teacher, hmmm???????"

"That's too much time!" Troy argued. Next Thursday? He might have to deal with a whole week of this? There weren't enough blankets in the world! "And even worse, what if I started something, and then it was permanent?"

"Then, like, you really suck," she said, and she didn't even know her dad-in-all-but-name was also a kid yet. "And you've got some toddlers you're going to have to take care of since you stole their parents from them!!!!!!!"

"Wait, what?" You definitely lost him on that one, Nina. "Toddlers? Where do toddlers come into the picture?"

Did Summer even have kids? All she ever did was talk about her cats, so he assumed a big nope on that one.

"If you caused all of this," she waved her hand dramatically, "then you've got to step up and make up for it!!!!!!!! That means Miss Kitty's daughter Lexi is going to need you to help since both her parents are kids again and Bus Dean's kids, Christopher and Juliette, are probably in the same boat!!!!!!!!"

Nina fixed him with a Look.

"You're lucky Principal Winchester is still an adult or you'd have to look after Grace too!!!!!!!!!"

"Wait, hold up," said Troy, who finally followed where Nina was going with that, and wanted to take back anything he'd thought about her being smart or clever. "When I said if I started something, I didn't mean..." He gestured with a finger to indicate the world as a whole, and then a gesture at Mr. Broods-a-Lot over there, "all this stuff in general. Obviously I didn't start that, anymore than you started the whole pony thing last weekend! What I meant was, if I started something with Summer, by...you know...because....she..." He lowered his voice, because this was clearly kind of embarrassing and weird to even talk about, "...obviously has a thing for me right now, and, okay, yes, I totally get it, but I really don't think this is a good time for me to be, you know," he was trying not to look at anyone in particular in this class, but was sort of failing, "locked down at this point in time...."

And then he just gave her such a look because...

"Really, though, Nina? You think I started this? Come on. I don't even have any magical powers."

Nina was going to roll her eyes so hard they might pop out of their sockets.

"I could've started the whole pony thing last weekend," she retorted because... er. Well. Given enough time she could totally do that. It would take a ton of work though. "And you could've tripped over something that triggered all of this!!!!!!!!!!! You're just trying to back out now because you're not man enough to look after little kids!!!!!!"

She didn't actually believe he'd started this but, like, she was all for heaping responsibility on a jerk like him.

"Maybe you should just fail Econ and leave Summer alone!!!!!!! You're not good enough for her!!!!!!!!!"

Don't blame Troy! He was just a victim of the skewed meritocracy of the modern society in which he was raised!

And Nina...was so frustrating some times!

"I am not dating my teacher to get a better grade in Econ!" he decided, more out of spite now than anything else. "And I did not trip over something that caused all of the adults to become teenagers, nor am I going to take care of any of their kids, because, by your logic, you're saying me, a teenager myself, is capable of taking care of them, when they are also teenagers. Some of them," he gestured emphatically toward Mr. The Early Nineties Want Their Rattails Back over there, "are clearly even older than me! It's teens raising kids any way you look at, Nina!"
