Summer Shenanigans, Wednesday, July 8, 2020

Well, Anakin's clothing options had shrunk considerably overnight, which was why he was dressed like a hipster rather than a Jedi.

At least he wasn't boiling in the robe because it was easily 100 degrees outside with humidity to match.

"Today we're combining the fun of a color run with the other fun of a tough mudder," Anakin announced into the megaphone from under his hat.

Your idea of fun might vary considerably!

"Working in teams, you will complete obstacles located around the island, and when you're finished each one, Beaker will dump dye on you."

Beaker, currently an unnatural shade of teal, meeped in what he incorrectly thought was a supportive way.

"First team across the finish line and into the water wins. Listen for your names. There are three teams of five."

TEAM ONE
Alexis
Wayne
Mae
Tahani
Elli

TEAM TWO
Iris
Rosa
Rey
Steve M.
Stark

TEAM THREE
Jules
Alara
Eleanor
Shuri
Cait Sith

Anakin looked momentarily embarrassed. "The t-shirts I had for you seem to have disappeared overnight. Apologies."

Rosa snorted, too busy with her trudging forward to fully give a slightly judgemental look toward....this person. "Exactly," she said, "don't ruin it with chit chat. Less talking, move moving....guy."

Did she know who this was? She didn't think she knew who this was. It didn't really matter who this was.

"McGarrett," Steve offered, holding out his arm to get her up over the mud hill...thing. "I'm new."

"You don't say," said Rosa dryly...as dry as one could be covered in mud and sweat, anyway, as she made sure to get up that mud ...thing with new determination that refused the offered help.

And, before, she might have just left it there, but...she was all about change at the moment, so, reluctantly, she then added, "Diaz. I'm...not."

"Glad to have you on my team, Diaz," Steve said. "You seem to be taking this appropriately seriously."

Or inappropriately seriously in the same way he was.

"You here to tell me your life story, McGarrett?" Rosa grunted as she hauled herself up on the next mud mound. "Or to win this this thing?"

Inappropriately seriously? How dare you.

"Obviously the winning," Steve replied.

"Then clam up," Rosa 'suggested', "keep moving, and keep an eye out for any stragglers."
