The Library is Open (04/06)

Rory staggered in and opened the library during second period, nursing her second cup of coffee and looking very much the worse for wear.

[Goin' up early like whoa so I can sleep in and not worry about it. Rory'll be available for interaction around 1 EST.]

"Sure." Parker considered what Angela said, then pointed out, "Either way, he'll let you know as soon as he's sure. You won't be left hanging, wondering about when he can come back, as long as he stays in contact. This is only temporary."

"Maybe," Angela said, indifferently. "That doesn't make it hurt less."

"I know." Parker looked regretful. "I'm sorry." Trying to think of something cheerful, she said, "I've got a tape of Xander in his high school talent show that I'm going to show on Monday night, I think. We should have a movie night, bring out any of our other stuff. The pageant tape. That's always funny."

Angela managed a smile at that. "We should watch the pageant, sure." Then she remembered the blue-tighted minstrel and iclined her head toward Rory. "Unless it might be too hard for some people to watch."

"Oh, crap. You're right." Parker rubbed her eyes. "Just once, one day, I would like the planets to synch up so that all of the library aides are happy and having no issues, romantic or un. Gah."

"I think we were almost there last Monday," Angela said. "Except Janet's still single." She shrugged, and it almost sounded like she was laughing. "Maybe the stars are just against us."
