So maybe there was a class today? But when everyone got to the Danger Shop, it'd become really obvious that their teacher was currently three, and drinking from a sippy cup with no supervision in sight.

"Hi! How old are you?" she asked.

"Really?" Jaye asked, doubtfully.

Wayne winced a little, turning his head away from Jaye, unable to keep eye contact.

"Yes," he murmured, disconsolate at the suggestion that he might not be that, "really. What's the point in makin' something like that up?"

"Sometimes people just do things," Jaye said, half yelling that to a cow creamer.

Look, Wayne didn't know what that cow creamer had done, but he was feeling like it didn't deserve to be yelled at like that.

Just like the farm stand behind him didn't deserve to be burned to the ground, either.

So needless to say, both of these events occurring simultaneously left him a little put out and grjmbling.
