BWI Airport Portalocity Lounge- Saturday morning

It was't so much that Alexis wanted to go back to school, it was just that her options to bounce around a bit had dried up for the moment, and she should probably at least check this place out? She hadn't gotten to see much of it aside from the volcano and all, and very little of the area outside, so why not hang out for a while?

She'd amassed a lot of bags around her: on the floor, the seats next to her. A throne of luggage, of sorts. She was already a little bored waiting, wondering who else would show up, and how much glitter had gone into the giant "FANDOM HIGH" sign that was hanging.

...and how that glitter had already gotten on her designer luggage, which she was now trying to pick off with an, "Ew."

"A school?" Freya asked, folding her arms in front of her for a moment before one knuckle lifted thoughtfully to her chin. How intriguing! "I see. Then this ticket must be for me to board the shuttle..."

Could it perhaps be that Sir Fratley had somehow found his way to this Fandom Island and was now teaching others as he had taught her? It didn't quite fit his claim that he was leaving to improve his own skills, but he did value being able to spread his deep knowledge to others....

"Yes," she said, not wanting to disagree, though she didn't have a ticket that looked quite like that. "Only, you seem surprised...? Were you not intending to attend?"

"Not at all!" Freya remarked, a little of her surprise working into her otherwise fairly stoic voice. "I've already completed my education. I was merely on the way to the blacksmith to see about improving my lance," you know, the giant one on her back that had been conspicuously missing I the narrative this far, " when I stepped out of the Business District and into..." She gestured an arm toward the lobby they were in, "this!"

That seemed... incredibly unusual.

"Perhaps there will be a blacksmith on the island?" she suggested.

Since, you know, Mineral Town had about thirty people tops and they had a blacksmith.

"I think," Freya pointed out, "I will have far more pressing matters than sharpening my spears once I get to Fandom Island, but that would be a helpful thing."

The green eye that wasn't hidden behind her hair observed the other girl thoughtfully.

"I take it your trip to this place is a little more...expected than my own?"

"Perhaps not," said Freya, with a bit of wistfulness over the fact that she didn't think anyone had a story quite like hers, even without the mysterious journey.

"What is your story?" she asked. "And, we, I suppose your name as well! We seemed to have forgotten introductions in all of this. Mine is Freya. Of Burmecia."

"I'm Elli," she said, having never heard of Burmecia before but also not surprised that she hadn't. "I'm from Mineral Town. It's nice to meet you, Freya."

She thought? Maybe?

Elli hadn't really decided yet but good manners said she had to say it...

"My story isn't very complicated," she admitted. "I'm simply here to study and broaden my horizons before I begin my studies to become a nurse."

"It's nice to meet you as well, Elli," said Freya, who had no reason to think otherwise. "And nursing is a very honorable and worthy pursuit. I hope to master some of my own healing abilities soon, too. I am already a dragon knight, but I am still very much a beginner. Even the most talented and skilled dragon knight I know, my beloved Sir Fratley, is constantly looking to improve. I have very far to go before I can even begin to compare to him..."

And even further to go, it seemed, if she were to ever find him again...
