Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, Saturday, All Day

However weather magic worked around here on any given day, the weather for the welcome picnic wasn't all that bad. It was a little chilly outside (50F/10C), but not as awful as January could be, and the bonfire in the middle of the lawn was providing a nice amount of warmth. No one noticed who specifically put the cute presents around it, but the gifts looked harmless and ignoring non-dangerous weird things was just how a lot of people coped with living here, okay?

The food was ready, the tables and chairs had been spread across the lawn, and everything was ready to welcome a new batch of folks to the island!

"Do you know what?" Rey asked hopefully. So far the danger sense was the most useful and least helpful thing she had.

"No," he admitted. "Well," he added after a moment. "I'm pretty sure I've met everyone here."

Which was odd, given that it was a welcome picnic.

"The bus hasn't shown up." Not that Rey had been looking, except that when she started having weird bad feelings she couldn't place, she noticed when her teacher wasn't there. "I don't know how to get more specific than that."

"It's usually here by now," Liam noted. "I really don't like this."

"Master Skywalker would tell me to follow my feelings in a situation like this," Rey said, or at least that was what she took from that conversation. "I don't know how to do that from here."

She was also at least so far missing the presents, so she was looking for the wrong thing.

"I have no idea how one would follow a feeling," Liam admitted, making a face. "I either know things or I don't. Sometimes there's a vision, and that can take time to piece together if I don't have the context, but this- this is new."

Had he mentioned yet that he didn't like it? Because he did not.
