Ethics, Wednesday, September 11, 2019 [1st period]

Anakin was at the front of the room with a huge, empty bowl in front of him. There were equally empty bowls in front of all of the students.

"Because I'm not all terrible," Anakin began with a tiny smile, "I've brought chocolate pudding for everyone. My bowl, of course, is too big for me to finish, so if you need more after you're done with the portion in front of you, feel free to come up and get some more. If you are lactose intolerant or allergic to chocolate, I have other options, too."

Of nothing. Because there was literally nothing in the bowls, kids. "Feel free to share with each other, too!"

Was there an ethical lesson here today? Of course. Anakin was just...testing to see how you all reacted.

Evie smiled and offered the student her bowl.

"I'm still not used to anything too sweet and the last time I ate pudding I became ill from the sugar. So you can have mine."

Grog blinked a little and then smiled. "Thank you for your kind offer. I would be happy to keep you from becoming ill," he said loudly, before leaning down to whisper, "Do you see anything in the bowl or am I the one who's gone crazy?"

Evie smiled, but ducked her head as she shook it in response. "There's nothing in the bowls at all. I don't know what's going on but I think it's better if we play along until we know more about the situation."
