Shame Anakin was going to ruin that for everyone, huh?

"Right!" he yelled through the megaphone. "Today we have a new and fun team-building game where you will be in groups of four!"

How thrilling!

"You will get matching socks for greater teambuilding!"

...sure?

"And put your feet up in the air so I may rest a bucket on them!"

Anakin, what.

"The first team to remove all of the socks from their feet without dropping the contents of the bucket on themselves wins!"

Anakin, you totally made this game up, didn't you.

"Listen for your names! And no use of special powers to win."

"Fine," Octavia replied. And she didn't even mean it was a dismissal. It just seemed like the best way to encapsulate a lot of complex things.

Although she softened it up with a shrug. "Better." Since, you know. Rapture.

"Good," Liam nodded, a bit of tension seeping out of his posture at that answer. "You end up wearing one of those weird suits last week?" He'd spent a day as a pseudo-Tanuki. It had been hilarious.

... Huh.

That sounded like some of what he'd said to her, the last time they'd spoken, had hit home.

"Probably a wise choice," he admitted. Sure, the weird video game suits had ended up being harmless, but what if they hadn't been? "What about the week that people were turning into monsters?" he added, concerned. That had not been an experience he'd wish on anyone, let alone someone he cared about.

Octavia shook her head again, though there was maybe something a little more evasive about it, this time around. "I didn't go out much."

That had been... the week after Rapture. She'd been busy incessantly playing the drums like it could distract her.

As far as coping methods went, it was about on par with 'head to the gym and destroy some equipment', so. Liam couldn't exactly judge.

"Normally, I'd say it's not good to stay cooped up inside," he said, making a face. "But that week especially, I'm glad passed you by."
