The normal bleachers and food vendors were set up in the park today, along with big screen projector screens, if that gave anyone else a bad feeling. You could watch portals flash in and out in real time! How fun/terrifying!

"Today we're going on a scavenger hunt," Anakin announced because that was a good idea on a week when reality was playing fast and loose. "You will be divided up into four teams of six--" with, of course, newly terrible matching shirts, "and will have to complete ten different tasks!"

That ten didn't divide evenly into six was your problem, teams, not Anakin's.

He waved the copies of the scavenger hunt above his head. "After you hear your names, I will pass out the lists!"

And even Beaker deserved a break. Or a chance to dangle from a spaceship, spinning frantically while he tried to get fruit of a tree.

"Oh!" Hera smiled. "Sorry. I sort of assume everyone knows I'm a pilot. I've never been exactly subtle about it. I've got a ship at the docks by the scrapyard. The Ghost is probably a bit large for low flying over Fandom, but the Phantom's a small shuttle; it would work nicely."

Sparkle gave a low whistle at that.

"Okay, so it sounds like we've got chocolate cherries handled. Maybe while you're doing that, I take care of the frappuccino? I have guts of steel and no fear of cold sugary drinks."

Plus it was hot out and Sparkle hated it. It was colder in Mexico today. He'd googled it.

Hera grinned at him. "Don't worry, you're in good hands." She led the way to the ship and gestured him toward the Phantom. "We'll just go up, you can get in a harness, and I'll lower you down to the garden, okay?"
