The normal bleachers and food vendors were set up in the park today, along with big screen projector screens, if that gave anyone else a bad feeling. You could watch portals flash in and out in real time! How fun/terrifying!

"Today we're going on a scavenger hunt," Anakin announced because that was a good idea on a week when reality was playing fast and loose. "You will be divided up into four teams of six--" with, of course, newly terrible matching shirts, "and will have to complete ten different tasks!"

That ten didn't divide evenly into six was your problem, teams, not Anakin's.

He waved the copies of the scavenger hunt above his head. "After you hear your names, I will pass out the lists!"

"Nyaaaan~~!" said Prompto, beaming, his cat-ears twitching happily as he curled his hands in front of him like paws. "It's part of a birthday present! So we won't know until August! But," and his long tail swished with conviction, "how could they not?"

Ben was pretty sure Prompto hadn't had a tail last week, but it might be impolite to ask?

"What's the rest of the birthday present?" he asked instead. "Would you like these works of art, too?"

Ben was absolutely correct. Prompto did not have a tail last week. Or ears. Or a proclivity toward lightly grooming himself while talking to people.

And yet this week...there they were.

He chuckled a little, nudging the back of his hand that he had probably definitely licked against his cheek. "Wouldn't want to go overboard," he said, "and these ones aren't even that bad! But the other part's one of those singing fish. These summer things are goldmines for great," awful, "birthday present ideas!"

Ben was a Trained Professional and as such wasn't staring too obviously at the whole...licking thing.

"I'm kind of glad my husband never thought of these for my gifts," he admitted. "My birthday's next week."

Shunsui was....confused. So....so confused.

"Bwah?" he said, eloquently, holding onto a shirt that was just barely slightly more tasteful than his usual attire that he wasn't even entirely sure how he'd gotten in his hands in the first place.

Shunsui considered Ben for a moment, before he looked over across the park and the whole set-up, and then looked back at Ben.

"...I just wanted a nap," he said.

He...would still probably get that nap.
