Given the terrible, pounding headache of a bad feeling that this location was giving Anakin, he almost cancelled the shenanigans for the week. But then he decided that if people were really looking for a distraction, he should provide it.

Today's shenanigans were being held in the school auditoriam--Anakin would grant townies temporary access to the school building in order to keep the students from wandering further from the dorms than absolutely necessary--and seemed to be revolving around several thousand ballpit balls in the center of the auditorium.

And laundry baskets.

And scooters.

"Welcome to Sentient Lifeform Hungry Hungry Hippos!" Anakin yelled through his megaphone. "Everyone will be divided into four teams. You will then pair up into beings on their stomach holding the laundry baskets and people pushing them by their legs. Every team will cycle through all of their players. The team with the most balls at the end wins! Come pick up your t-shirts!"

Because of course there were t-shirts.

"I'd say this'll be at least a little easier than pushing the Crumbler around," Amaya noted, giving Ben a nod and a faint smile. She pushed up her sleeves (which were already tied up, shh) and adjusted her gloves. "Though maybe just as dangerous. You ready?"

"What's the Crumbler?" Ben asked, grabbing the laundry basket and flopping onto the scooter.

"It's a machine of my own invention, of course!" Amaya explained brightly, proudly. "It lifts, it chops, it crumbles." The last, of course, done with the usual pound of one fist into her palm. "And quite a few others things, now, really. She's gone through quite a few upgrades since moving here, though she doesn't get nearly as much use as I'd like."

"That sounds astral," Ben said. "Much more useful than grabbing balls with a laundry basket!"

"Actually," said Amaya, "it's strictly terrestrial," FOR NOW, "but it does have a pretty nice shovel scoop on the front that would make gathering these balls a cinch! Guess we'll just have to make do with a basket and a scooter, though. Think you're ready?"

"Oh, let's do this. I'm so glad my kids aren't watching this," Ben said. "We'd be playing this game allll summer."
